Athlete Check-In and Weigh-In Information

Athlete height will be recorded during check-in/weigh-in periods.

Weigh-ins and check-ins are available at the following times:

- Friday, May 16th: 11:30 AM to 9:30 PM

- Saturday, May 17th (competition day): 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM

The rules meeting will begin at 8:30 AM on Saturday, May 17th.

 

Lifting starts @ 9 AM

 

EVENTS

 

Log Clean and Press Away (AMRAP in 60 Seconds)

Lifters may choose either the heavier or lighter weight option within their category. Completing one rep with the heavier weight will surpass any number of reps completed with the lighter weight. Athletes may attempt either weight first, and the total number of reps with the heavier weight will determine the final score.

Athletes will receive a start command. After the initial start command, lifters will only receive down commands. The lifter must demonstrate full control of the log overhead, with hips, knees, and elbows fully locked out.

 

Grip shirts, wrist wraps, and elbow sleeves are allowed.

 

MAX Double Overhand Axle Deadlift (3 Attempts)

Lifter gets three attempts  

Can choose any weight they like within 5lb increments  

 

Start weight

Men

115lbs  

 

NO wrist straps, NO mixed grip, NO deadlift suits

 

40’ Fat Back Hex Bar Carry (AFAP in 60s)

Cones are placed every 10 feet along a 40-foot course.

The lifter starts inside the hex bar at the starting line.

Lift the hex bar, walk 10 feet, then perform an increasing number of deadlifts at each cone.

 

Add one additional deadlift per cone as you progress.

Start: Pick up the hex bar and walk 10 feet.

At the 10-foot cone, lower the bar, and perform 2 deadlifts (down and up commands).

Walk to the next cone (20 feet), perform 3 deadlifts.

Repeat at each cone, adding 1 deadlift per cone:

30 feet = 4 deadlifts

40 feet = 5 deadlifts

 

NOTES:

You must wait for the down command to lower the bar and wait for up command to lift it again.

Continue until you reach 40 feet and complete the final 5 deadlifts.

Straps not allowed

 

 

Yoke Squat (AMRAP in 60s)

Lifter will receive up and down commands for every rep. Hips &  knees must be fully locked out and the lifter must display full control before receiving a down command

Belt, grip shirt and knees sleeves are allowed

Knee wraps are not allowed, squat suit is not allowed

 

Before the event begins, athlete height will be measured during weigh-ins and check-ins. This measurement is necessary to determine the appropriate height for your yoke, which will be rounded to the lowest 2-inch interval.

Height of the yoke will be ~70% of lifter’s height (note: we will be rounding down to the lowest 2" increment)

Husafell Stone Carry (max distance) 

The athlete will pick up the Husafell Stone and carry it as far as possible.

Once the stone is dropped, the total distance carried will be measured.

A 10-foot grace zone is provided: 10 second expiration and 1 drop allowed in this period
