Rules Meeting at 9am

First Lift at 9:30am

Weigh-Ins will be Friday May 16th from 8am to noon and from 3pm till 7pm. at Metroflex Gym The Castle in Fort Worth.

STRONGMAN CORP SANCTIONED. MEMBERSHIP WILL BE REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE.

WANT AND INVITE TO THE BIG SHOW?? THIS IS HOW YOU GET IN!!

If there are 2-4 athletes in a class:

1st Place - Nationals 

If there are 5-9 athletes in a class:

1st & 2nd Place - Nationals  

If there are 10+ athletes in a class: 

1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place - Nationals

 

ALL ATHLETES ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE RULES MEETING. MUST BE WEIGHED, CHECKED IN, BY 8:30 A.M. NO EXCEPTIONS!!

EVERYONE WANNA BE A STRONGMAN... BUT AINT NOBODY WANNA LIFT THE HEAVY ASS WEIGHT!! Its time to see who will wear the crown this year at the Ronnie Coleman Classic. We SOLD OUT last year and had a massive turnout. It was a blast! This year we are back to bring you another big show. The king himself stopped by to watch and had some great things to say about all our athletes, helpers and spectators. It was amazing. Lets run it back! Join us for another huge unforgettable show. Updates will be posted as they are received. 

 

Event 1: Max Log Clean and Press

This is a max weight event with 3 attempts. Score will be based off the number of attempts and and weight achieved. Upon The judges go command, the athlete will have 30 seconds to complete a rep. Athletes may start with hands on the implement. A full rep includes the log over head with elbows, knees, hips locked out. YOU MAY NOT USE THE TOP OF YOUR HEAD AT ANY POINT IN TIME. If THE LOG COMES DOWN, YOU MUST BRING IT BACK DOWN THE THE CLEAN POSITION AND START THE PRESS OVER. The event will end for the athlete if he/she either uses all 3 attempts or the he/she misses an attempt. 

Equipment allowed: Hard belt, soft belt, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, chalk

All other equipment not listed is prohibited.

 

Event 2: Sandbag toss over bar

Athletes will start with hands on the bar. Upon the judges go command, the athlete will have 60 seconds to bring the bag back to the bar and begin to throw it over. The bag will be approx 15 feet away. The athlete will repeat throwing the same bag back and forth until time has expired. If the bag is stuck on top of the bar, a helper will assist to get the bag back down. If the athlete misses a throw, they may attempt the next throw from either side of the bar. If time expires during a throw, the bag must leave the athletes hands before time hits "0:00" for the attempt to count. 

Equipment allowed: Hard belt, soft belt, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, chalk

All other equipment not listed is prohibited.

 

Event 3: Frame Deadlift

Athletes may start hands on or strapped in. Upon the judges go command, athletes will have 60 seconds to complete as many reps as possible. A completed rep will count when the athlete receives a down command from the judge while standing upright with hips, knees, elbows locked out . TOUCH AND GO WILL NOT BE ALLOWED!! THE IMPLEMENT MUST REST MOMENTARILY BEFORE LEAVING THE GROUND. YOU MUST WAIT FOR THE JUDGES DOWN COMMAND OR THE REP WILL NOT COUNT.  

Equipment allowed: Hard belt, soft belt, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, any deadlift strap, chalk

All other equipment not listed is prohibited. 

 

Event 4: Heavy Yoke

Athletes may start under or with hands on the implement. Upon the judges go command, the athlete will have 60 seconds to pick up the yoke, carry it 40ft, drop it past the cone, turn around, pick it back up and carry it back toward the finish line. The entire implement must cross the halfway mark and the finish line. Yoke heights will be taken during weigh-in. Unlimited drops. No sliding. If the athlete cannot complete the course, distance will be taken. 

Equipment allowed: Hard belt, soft belt, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, chalk

All other equipment not listed is prohibited.

 

Event 5: Duck Walk/Sandbag Carry

This a 3 implement medley. In order, duckwalk, sandbag, duckwalk. Upon the judges go command, the athlete will have 60 seconds to pick up the duckwalk implement, carry it down past the cone, run back, pick up a sandbag, carry it to the cone where there will be a yoke, the athlete will have to put the sandbag over the yoke bar, then come back for a second duckwalk, then carry it to the cone. Cones will be 40ft away. THE ATHLETE MUST COMPLETE THE COURSE IN THE ORDER GIVEN. If the athlete cannot complete the course, then distance will be given on that implement. 

Equipment allowed: Hard belt, soft belt, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, chalk

All other equipment not listed is prohibited.
