We are back! Sinister showdown 2 is a qualifier for 2024 USS Nationals. Top 3 in each open class and 1st place in the Novice class will receive invites. Weigh ins will be the day before at Hardknox Strength & Performance. If you need to weigh in day of, please shoot me a message or email so we can make arrangements.

In order to be guaranteed a free competition shirt you must be registered no later than 1 month out.

Rules: Rules meeting is at 9:00 am, Lifting starts at 10:00 am 

Wagon Wheel Axle Clean and Press:

• Athletes can start with hands on implement
• Belt cleans are allowed
• Athletes will have 60 seconds to clean and press the axle- each rep must be cleaned and pressed
• Down command will be given when athlete is fully locked out
• Axle must be brought down in a controlled manor, if axle is dropped from overhead intentionally athlete will receive a 0 for the event

Allowed: Elbow Sleeves/ cuffs, wrist wraps, soft belt, hard belt, knee sleeves, grip shirt (can’t be SC or OSG) 

Silver Dollar Deadlift: 

• State records up for grabs

• Max Event
• Once you miss an attempt, your out
• Athlete will have 30 seconds to attempt lift
• Must be fully locked out to receive down command
• Hitching is allowed
• Athletes do not need to take every attempt
• Bar being used will be Cerberus power bar

Allowed: Straps, Knee sleeves, soft belt, hard belt, elbow sleeves/ cuffs, suit

Dinnie Walk: (Weights may change) 

• The Cerberus Dinnie pins will be used for this event
• No drops
• Athletes will start behind line of tape and have 60 seconds to walk as far they can
• Weight will be similar to actual stones (One side heavier than the other)
• Long socks and/ or 1 extra set of sleeves may be worn to protect your shins
• Numbers listed are Left/Right hand

Allowed: Knee sleeves, soft belt, hard belt, elbow sleeves/ cuffs

Conan’s Wheel:

• Athletes can start arms under implement
• Athlete will pick up implement in the crooks of arms and walk clockwise till implement is dropped
• Furthest distance wins

Allowed: Knee sleeves, soft belt, hard belt, elbow sleeves/ cuffs, grip shirt (can’t be SC or OSG) 

Crucifix hold:

• Athlete will hold out implements perpendicular to the ground for time
• Implements will be 2 loading pins with handles attached
• Spotter will hold pins while athlete gets set
• On the start command spotters will release weight and time will start
• Time stops when arms drop below perpendicular
• Longest hold wins
