Grayson has gone a perfect 10-0 against South Gwinnett recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Comets at 7:30 p.m. Grayson will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Two weeks ago, Grayson was fully in charge, breezing past Rockdale County 58-10. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 41 points or more this season.

Deuce Smith had an outrageously good game as he threw for 222 yards and five touchdowns on only 18 passes. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last four games he's played. Grayson's leading receiver Jonathan Stafford was Smith's top target yet again, picking up 103 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Another reason for the win was Grayson's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for eight sacks. Waylon Wooten was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 47 points the game before, South Gwinnett was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 24-7 to Archer. The Comets' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Grayson's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for South Gwinnett, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-3.

Everything came up roses for Grayson against South Gwinnett in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 41-7 victory. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Comets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
