The Southern Illinois Bench Press Challenge is back!!! Cash prize and award for winner.

Our bench both will be set up at the USS Pro International Competition and will be open to any spectator or athlete that wants to compete. Purchased a ticket here on Iron Podium or at the booth the day of.

ALL PROFITS will be donated to Take Action Today-a Southern Illinois based organization that offers services for substance abuse, mental health, and the homeless population.

Rules:

• Max reps 90 seconds
• You must unrack the bar yourself- No assisted lift offs. You may rack and unrack the bar as many times as you like during the 90 seconds.
• For a rep to count you must touch your chest and press the bar until you have your elbows locked out.
• You must wait for a DOWN COMMAND before starting each rep.
• You may take as many attempts as you want but a new ticket must be purchased for each attempt.
• If you fail a rep the judges/spotters will rack the bar and your attempt will be over.
• Judges have discretion to end any attempt if they feel you are lifting in an unsafe manner.
• Cash prize and award will be presented to the winner. Winner must be present to claim prize.
• ALLOWED: Elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, gloves, saying "I could bench 405 in high school."
• NOT ALLOWED: Slingshots or bench shirts, making excuses when you get beat by a teenager.

You must buy a spectator pass to enter the venue.
