Since COVID travel restrictions by the kybosh on a Static Monsters World Championships, several countries are having a national championship, with this being the USA rendition.  This event is by invitation only, with the invitation being earned by competing in the Static Monsters in October 2020.  Invitations will be sent by email or Facebook messenger.  

If you enter here without having received an invitation, I will gladly accept that donation, but you will not be allowed to compete.  

This is a USS sanctioned event.  USS membership is required of all athletes.  

Only two events will be done at this contest - max log press and max 18" axle deadlift (it's technically 17.75" because the Static Monsters folks in Australia use the metric system).  

Max Log Rules:  Each athlete will get three attempts.  You may attempt again if you miss an attempt, however you cannot go down in weight.  60 seconds per attempt.  The typical accessories allowed on a pressing event are allowed here.  Slater logs will be used, so any metal belt buckles must be turned to the side.  12" logs will be used for the men, 10" logs for the women.  

Max Deadlift Rules:  Each athlete will get three attempts.  You may attempt again if you miss an attempt, however you cannot go down in weight.  60 seconds per attempt.  The axle is a 2" diameter axle.  Dead center of the axle will be 17.75" off the ground.  Suits, sleeves, and any kind of non-hook strap are allowed.  Hessenbruch rule is in effect - at least part of your palms must remain in contact with the bar during the entire lift.  

Seated adaptive classes will be doing an incline log press and a lever lift.  Single arm adaptive classes will use Spurgin's special single handle log or a monster bell and can use a harness to strap the non-operation side to the bar for the deadlift.
