Order of competing determined by the order of sign ups.

WEIGH-INS - Friday 9:00am - 11:00am & 4:00pm - 6:00pm 

Saturday 7:00am - 7:30am or as quickly and efficiently as possible NO WEIGH INS AFTER 8:00AM 

Rules Meeting - Saturday morning at 8:00am - At the Venue Athletes MUST check in & attend rules meeting. This will get everyone their things for the competition and answer all questions.

Hotel Accommodations - Albemarle, NC - Working on this for a discounted rate. TBA

Venue Open and Athletes able to come at 7:00am 

Competition Starts promptly at 9:00am

Food: Available at the venue, Prepared by the Veterans and served. All proceeds go to the Veterans.

Overall Rules: NO TACKY of any kind. Chalk, yes, Chalkless, yes. Be respectful of the judges and their calls. They are well respected athletes that know what they are doing and what to look for. If you are limited on a lockout, Speak to and SHOW your judge your limitation, when you step up to the event for your turn. 

Shirts: No competing Federation grip shirts please. The most common are Strongman Corp, Cerberus, and A7, which are all fine. If you're not wearing a grip shirt to compete you must wear the comp shirt provided. You may cut the sleeves or crop the bottom but the sponsors and front logo must be visible.

PLEASE clean up after yourself and do not leave trash on the floor, we are responsible for cleaning the venue. I appreciate it more than you know!!

Strongman Corporation membership is required for all competitors and can be purchased online at https://strongmancorporation.com/memberships/. Please note that USS and Strongman Corporation are not the same, and you will need a Strongman Corporation membership for this competition.

Nationals bids will be awarded in Open classes based on the number of athletes in each class as follows:
- 1 athlete in a class: the promoter may merge the class with another class; if the athlete competes alone they will earn an invite by completing (i.e. not “zeroing”) at least 4 of the 5 events to the standards originally set forth by the promoter.
- 2-4 athletes in a class: 1st place qualifies for Nationals
- 5-9 athletes in a class: 1st and 2nd place qualify for Nationals
- 10+ athletes in a class: 1st-3rd place qualify for Nationals


Masters Athletes qualify for America's Strongest Master by placing in the top 3 of a Masters class *or* in the top 5 of an Open class.

Teens qualify for America's Strongest Teen by participating in a Teen, Novice, or Open division.

Weigh-ins will be conducted in KILOGRAMS and there is NO "allowance" for clothing. For example, an athlete in the 64kg class must weigh in at 64.0kg or less. Athletes must weigh in wearing (minimally) a bra and underwear.

EVENT 1:

Deadlift Ladder for Points - 60 seconds

There will be 3 bars -Light, Medium and heavy.  Heavy bar will be an extra-long Mammoth type bar. Each bar will be worth points. Light bar = 5 points, Medium Bar = 10 points, Heavy Bar = 50 points. You may lift any bar for as many reps as possible in 60 seconds. You may lift in any combination of bars/lifts to accumulate as many points as you can in 60 seconds. The lift must be locked out BEFORE the 60 seconds expires off the clock. Thumbs must stay in contact with the bar. Yes, you can use straps, you will strap in on your time. Yes, you can wear deadlift suits. Up to 2 belts only, one soft/one hard. Start behind the line, once judge says "Go" you will proceed to the bar of your choice. They will be lined up lightest to heaviest, with the lightest bar closest to you.

EVENT 2:

Double Object Load into Pull - 60 seconds

There will be two objects to pick up, carry 30 feet each, load into ATV, then pull. You will start behind the line. More details TBA! :)

EVENT 3:

Light / Heavy Log - 60 seconds

Just that. There will be light log for reps or a Heavy log for reps. 1 Rep on Heavy log beats any reps on light log. Clean and press each rep. The log must be controlled on the way down. If you drop from the top, you will get a NO REP. Yes, you may use grip shirts. You will start behind the line. 

Women's log will be the 10" log

Men's Log - 12" log

EVENT 4: 60 seconds

Yoke Carry - Pick it up and carry it 30 feet down, drop it, turn around, pick and carry back 30 feet for time. 60 seconds to complete. You will start behind the line. If you do not complete the carry, your distance will be measured. Drops are allowed, no sliding the yoke. 5 second penalty for each slide, determined by lane judge. Grips shirts allowed. 

EVENT 5: 

Sandbag over Bar for reps - **WEIGHTS ARE BEING REVIEWED and subject to change **  This will be a head-to-head style for as many reps as possible. You will have 30 seconds to pick the bag and get it over the bar. It must hit the ground within 30 seconds. If you get 10 reps, the time will drop to 20 seconds. Get 10 more reps time will drop to 15 seconds. If you drop while trying to go over the bar, you're out. Next person steps in to complete their reps. Your total number of reps completed will be scored.
