A Kids Strongman Event that's also a fundraiser for Hope Kids?  Yes, please!

How will it work?  

We will run 6 strongman events with kid appropriate weights and implements (different weights for different aged kids - more details to be shared later) *weight are subject to change as testing of events happens.

No experience necessary, we will teach the kids about each event before we do it!

We'll have plenty of volunteers to help the kids and make it a really fun day for everyone!

Event Details:

As part of the warm-up for each of these events, proper form will be demonstrated.

Event 1: Log press

Clean and Press for max reps in 30 seconds. Each rep will go from the mat to locked out overhead using our custom built kid's log for weights under 45lbs (10” log for weights 45 lbs and over). Any form of press is allowed (strict, power jerk, split jerk). No resting the log on your head.

Event 2: Deadlift

Athletes will have 30 seconds to complete as many reps as possible. You will get down and up calls from your judge. Bars and weights will be adjusted by age. 

Event 3: Monster Medley

Athletes will start by completing 5 full depth body squats, once completed they will do a 25 yd shuttle run, after that they will do 3 full range push-ups, then to finish they will do 2 sandbag/ med ball to shoulder! Event time will be recorded. 

Event 4: Sandbag Carry with Sled Drag

Athletes will carry a sandbag from start line to sled- (distance determined by age). Athletes will drop the sandbag on the sled and pull the sled back to the start line. Event time will be recorded. 

Event 5: Tire Flips

Athletes will run down to the tire, flip the tire 5 times and run back. Event time will be recorded. 

Event 6: Farmers Carry

Athletes will pick up buckets at starting line, walk down and back. Event time will be recorded. Size of buckets and distance will be determined by age.
