Strongest OSHA Violator (Novice-friendly)
$50
Covington, GA
Your boss gave you a Jelly of the Month Club subscription this year instead of a raise, and you don't even like jelly that much. You decided to quit and your last day is coming up at the end of the week. The OSHA inspector is coming by and you just watched Office Space for the first time, so you decide to leave a lasting impression and rack up as many citations as possible. Are you "actively sabotaging" your employer or do they simply not have what it takes to thrive in this fast-paced environment?
Competition Details
This is mainly meant to be a novice-friendly comp for anyone who's never competed in strongman or anyone who's only competed as a novice. If you've competed before as a novice, this is your chance to officially compete in your first open competition. If you're not a novice, feel free to register above your weight class for fun if you want to see how you stack up against bigger competitors!
Weigh-ins will be on the morning of the competition only, from 8AM to 9:30AM. Since this is supposed to be a fun competition for newbies to dip into strongman, please don't do any crazy cuts! The rules meeting will be at 10AM and the competition will start immediately after. No charge for spectators, but seating is limited so feel free to bring a chair!
Events
Party at the job site
Athletes will press clean and press a keg overhead for as many reps as possible in 1 minute. A down command will be given when the athlete's head is through and arms are locked out overhead. The keg must clearly touch the ground between reps but you do not have to release your hands.
