Athletes must wait for the “Down” command from the judge but may press again from the rack with no “Lift” command. Each weight class will have a ‘Trump Weight’ loaded in addition to the standard weight, this bar is optional and not required to score in the event, however, any reps completed of the trump weight will outscore reps of the standard weight (example: 1 rep of trump weight outscores 99 reps of standard weight). Bar weight will ascend ’auction style’ with athletes able to expend their attempts at weights they think they can complete. ‘Auction Style’ means that the bar weight will only ascend at fixed increments with opportunities for athletes to expend their attempts at weights they think they can complete. Athletes will have three attempts to achieve their highest weight, however, any failed attempt will eliminate the athlete from making further attempts, their score will be the highest weight successfully lifted to that point. For their attempts, athletes at the command of their judge will take position behind the bar without touching it, at the command “3,2,1, Lift!” they will have 60 sec to complete the lift. No contact with the bar will be allowed before the lift command is given and the lift is not considered complete until the Judge gives the “Down” command. The down command will be given when the judge visually identifies that the athlete has pulled the bar to full ‘lock out’ meaning that the bar is in hand with the athlete’s hips, and knees at full extension with their shoulders clearly behind the vertical plane of the bar. No dropping of the bar is permitted, dropping from the top will constitute a ‘no rep’. Additionally, athletes must take a full grip on the bar with their hands, they may not rig their straps in a way that allows their fingers or hand to be completely off of the bar.
Additionally additionally… Shoes are not required but some sort of covering for your foot is, high socks or deadlift specific socks are highly encouraged, if you get your blood on the bar you will be asked to clean it off. Your bodily fluids are yours to keep!

They will need to maneuver around the yoke to the other side to complete each rep after the first one (athletes may not attempt to jump or hurdle the yoke in any way, they must go around). A bag that is moving without being touched may keep moving after time expires but any rep where time runs out while the athlete is touching the bag will not be counted. The score for the event will be the total number of completed repetitions done by the athlete within 90 seconds. Female athlete’s crossmember will be set to approx. 48 in high, Males will be set to approx. 54 in high. Special accommodations will be made on a case by case basis if needed.

The athlete may move their sled in any manner they see fit using the equipment provided (this can include variations on pushing and pulling). The athletes may throw the ball in any manner they deem fit. At no point may the athlete touch or pass their starting line with any part of their body nor may their medicine ball pass outside of their designated lane. Making any of the previously mentioned errors will result in that ball throw being graded a ‘0’ in terms of distance, this will not impact the measurement of subsequent or past throws. Each athlete will have three opportunities to throw the medicine ball and their score is the distance of their farthest throw. With each of the athlete's three throws their judge will drop a cone where their ball lands so the athlete can quickly recover the ball and make their next throw. A measuring wheel measuring from the front edge of the start line to the rear of the cone will be the method of scoring. Athletes must throw the ball, they may not roll it, though the ball may roll on its own as the result of being thrown.
