This is the official Strongman event at the 2024 Lift Hard Live Easy Classic in Aberdeen, SD on Saturday 7/20/24. The strongman event will start in the afternoon immediately following the Lift Hard Live Easy II powerlifting event. This will be a fast paced show with only 20 competitors and 4 events. Total show time is estimated at two hours.

Events and Rules:

1. Max Log Press - Three attempts to lift the most amount of weight from the ground to above head. 60 second time limit per lift. If you miss, you are out. Judge will give a "down" command when the log is fully locked out above head by elbows, and feet are even with each other, under the body. If the log is lowered before the down command is given, the rep will not count. Any lift drop behind the head will be considered a no lift. Weight jumps will be set 10-20 pound increments.
Allowed Equipment: Chalk, wraps, elbow sleeves (single pair), Soft belt, hard belt, grip shirts. 
Not Allowed Equipment: Suits, briefs, tacky, built up belts.

2. Max Reps 18" Deadlift for Reps (Texas Power Bar) - As many reps possible in sixty (60) seconds. Conventional form (hands outside of knees) only. Competitors must start with hands off the bar. Judge will give a down command when knees and hips are fully locked out. Competitors must wear socks. 
Allowed Equipment:  Deadlift socks, knee sleeves, lifting straps, soft belt, hard belt. 
Not Allowed Equipment: tacky, suits, briefs.

3. Mystery Shield Carry - Competitor will start with hands off of the one-of-a-kind, custom made implement. Competitor will pick the implement, walk it 30-40 foot ( track distance subject to change), travel around a barrier and then walk back to the starting point and around another barrier. Competitors will continue this track until they drop the implement or they are physically unable to continue. Total distance will be taken after the implement is dropped. No time limit. 
Allowed Equipment: Chalk, wraps, elbow sleeves (single pair), Soft belt, hard belt, grip shirts. 
Not Allowed Equipment: Suits, briefs, tacky, built up belts.

4. Atlas Steel Battle Royale - The last place competitor and the second to last place competitor in each class will begin this event. Competitors will be on either side of a yoke. Last place competitor will begin by picking the Atlas stone and loading it over the yoke. Second to last place competitor will then load it back. This will continue until 1 competitor is unable to load it within a timeframe (20 seconds). As soon as 1 competitor fails, the next lowest place competitor will immediately jump in and begin loading. This will continue until all competitors have gone through. The last competitor standing will have the opportunity to continue loading with a volunteer returning the ball to them, if they so choose. Most reps successfully loaded wins. 
Yoke Height: 48" Men, 42" Women 
Allowed Equipment: Tacky, Chalk, wraps, elbow sleeves (single pair), Soft belt, hard belt, grip shirts, tacky towels, tacky spray. 
Not Allowed Equipment: Suits, briefs, built up belts.
