 Your party has been captured by the treacherous duo the mad wizards, Amatuon and Gibodeus! Working with your partner and total strangers you must escape the clutches of a deranged wizard with your lives and anything that isn't nailed down.

 This is a strongman competition that also has a custom role playing game being played alongside it. Your performance during events will impact what your character can do during the rpg. More importantly your actions during the rpg will affect both you and the other competitors during events. For example when you loot the vault (perform well during the event), you may be rewarded with a magic wand. Then using that magic wand you might break a curse making the next event easier for you and your partner. If you are feeling less benevolent you might also curse a competitor. 

Prison Break

When you escape your cell the first thing you need is your equipment. Move fast and recover it.

Any and all equipment you Bring with you will be put 50 feet away from you. you will need to run down the course collect your items and run another feet. we will not allow any equipment use you didn't have to run for. Only have a belt, only need to recover a belt. if you have a treasure trove of gym equipment it will of course slow you down. If you don't have an organised bag for all your gear yet get one. If you have no equipment this is just a sprint.

Chasm Cross 

 TBD. I have an idea for this event but the name may change to fit theme after testing.

The Battle for Barns Deep

  This is a short combat DND session and will be receiving points at the Dungeon master's will. 

Raise the gates

To escape you will need to raise the dungeon's gates. Yes gates, plural.

Classic Log Clean and press for reps. You and your partner will have one minute to clean and press a log as many times as possible. combined total rep weights. You get to decide your weight with a minimum of 70 pounds. 

Example: Philip presses a 200 pound log 5 times and Tammy presses a 250 pound log 4 times. They have lifted a total of 2000 pounds.

Haul the Haul

 Last but not least, what good is an adventure if you leave empty handed? Haul your loot out of the dungeon.

There will be a vaults worth of odd implements to move 40 feet from one side of the room to the other. Same assortment for everyone and total poundage wins. 1 minute time limit.

Disclaimer as mad wizards messing with the fabric of reality the events are tentative and the order is not absolute. The general category for each event is relatively fixed, e.g. carry events are probably still carries, but the implements are subject to change.

Rules for the competition and role playing game will be provided at the rules meeting. Character sheets for the game will be provided, we won't be prefilling names or races, they won't affect gameplay, so dream big. Have you always wanted to be a burly dwarf with big muscles, big alcohol tolerance, and a big beard? Now is your chance. Always wanted to be a dainty elf with long flowing hair who is light enough to walk on snow? You may be at the wrong comp. We won't stop you but this is still strongman. A set of dice will be provided for play but feel free to bring your own. Costumes are not required but highly recommended so sayeth Amatuon the red. Participation in the role playing game is non negotiable. We will have incredible prizes for each class winner and a lot of custom made items up for grabs.

If you are interested in crazy idea for a comp don't be afraid to join just because you aren't a grizzled table top game veteran. All of the table top side is being run by experienced players who have worked hard to make this a fun and approachable game even for a complete newbie. 

We invite everyone to stay after and play games with us, we have showers to clean up in and prenty of pizza places around.

We have space for vendors of all types and are looking for outfitters, smiths, jewelers, crafts people, and anyone else who has an on theme product of service.
