Do you want to become a Pro Strongman/Strongwoman?! Here's your shot!
This is an Open & Middleweight meet with the winner of each class moving onto USS Pro Internationals/USS MW Pro Internationals! You do not need to qualify for this event or be a current Pro Strongman/Strongwoman to enter
To Qualify for the USS Pro Internationals or the USS MW Pro Internationals there needs to be a minimum of 6 lifters in your class. MIDDLEWEIGHTS: If there are not 6 total MW in your class you will be added back into the Open since there would be no qualification for MW Pro Internationals. Once we are to 12 lifters in a class, the top two can qualify and so on for every 6 lifters in that class! You cannot zero an event and qualify.

Weigh-ins: Friday 5p-8p at event site 405 Main St. Dubuque, Iowa 52001. Saturday 7a-8:30a at Event Site 405 Main St.
Rules Meeting: 9:15 Saturday at Event Site.

Spectators: There is a door fee of $10 for non Athletes and will receive a wrist band upon entry.
ATHLETES: Only Athletes and ONE Coach allowed on stage at a a time
Spectators: There is a door fee of $10 for non Athletes and will receive a wrist band upon entry. Absolutely no spectators allowed on event floor/warm up room. There are also two locations for food & beverage!
Athlete Care: In the warm up room there will be Sports Massage Therapists to help you throughout the day, Before/during/after the meet. There will also be food & beverage for all Athletes located in the warm up room as well. This year the Athlete Room will be located behind the Main Stage/behind the large curtains.
RULES:
Circus Dumbbell:
- Athletes will have the choice between two CDB's, one heavier and one lighter CDB.
- The Heavier CDB equates to more points. If one Athlete chooses the lighter CDB and achieves for example 5 reps, but another Athlete chooses the Heavier CDB completes 1 rep. The Athlete that chose the heavier CDB wins.
- 60sec time limit to get as many reps completed as possible.
- If Athlete chooses heavy CDB but misses an attempt, Athlete can choose to move to the light CDB. If Athlete chooses the light CDB first and completes a rep, Athlete can move to the heavy CDB. If Athlete gets a rep on the Heavy CDB that is 1 rep, not 2 as the first rep was on the lighter log.
- Knees and elbows must be locked, feet in line, head through.
- No dropping from over head, if this occurs it is up to the judges discretion to take away the rep or to zero the event. This is to not only protect the Athlete but to protect the spotters/loaders, judges, and equipment.
- Athletes can have one hard belt and one soft belt.
- Equipment Allowed: Knee Sleeves, Elbow Sleeves, Wrist Wraps.
- Equipment Not Allowed: Elbow Wraps, Tacky, Any kind of sticky substance.
- Athlete to complete the most reps within the given time frame wins.
Max 18" Deadlift:
- Minimum Start Weight is in the Weight Matrix
- 3 attempts, 60 second time limit per attempt
- After each attempt, Athlete will need to check in w/ table to give next attempt
- All attempts will go in order from lightest to heaviest weight and be ran similar to a Powerlifting Meet
- Straps and suits allowed. No sumo. Hitching allowed
- 18" measured from the center of the bar to the floor
- Hips, knees, shoulders locked. Down command from the Judge will be given upon complete lock out
- No dropping from lockout position, if dropped it will be a zero for that attempt. With Wessels rule implemented this would be your final attempt and cannot take another
- This will be on a Texas Power Bar w/ National Records on the line
- Equipment Allowed: Deadlift Suits, Knee Sleeves, Elbow Sleeves, Wrist Wraps, Straps, Figure 8's. If you have another style of straps please get w/ the Judge(s) to confirm
- Equipment Not Allowed: Steel Hooked Straps, Tacky, Any kind of sticky substance
- Athlete to complete the most weight wins.
Thors Hammer Hold:
- Athlete will hold hammer with both hands extended out in front of them w/ their backs against the wall. You will have assistance from a spotter to get the implement to the height needed.
- Once hammer is risen, Athlete will be asked if ready. Once ready please say Ready to the Judge.
- Judge will give the GO command, spotters will release
- Athlete must keep their arms parallel with their shoulders. Time stops once arms fall below parallel with your shoulders.
- Equipment allowed: Wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, chalk.
- Athlete to hold on the longest wins.
Carry Medley (Farmers, Yoke, Frame):
- 60sec time limit to complete the course.
- Implements will be placed on both sides of the 50ft course.
- Athlete will grab the first implement and run down the 50ft course, only the tip of the implement needs to cross the line and the Athlete can turn and grab the next implement.
- One drop is allowed per implement. If a second drop occurs, a measurement will be taken from where the front of the implement finishes.
- If implement is slid across a finishing line, 5 seconds will be added to the time.
- Equipment Allowed: Grip shirt, chalk, wrist straps, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves
- Absolutely no tacky aloud, no lifting hooks allowed.
- Athlete to complete the course and get all three implements across the line wins.
Head to Head Stones:
- 60 sec time limit to complete.
- Stones will be placed directly in front of the platforms.
- Athletes will start w/ hands on the highest platform w/ the lightest stone.
- Once GO command is given, Athletes will start w/ the lightest stone and load to highest platform.
- This will go from the highest platform of 56" and ending w/ the lowest at 48" w/ the heaviest stone.
- Tacky OK, Tacky towel OK.
- There will be a tacky cleaning station on site.
- Athlete to finish loading all 5 stones the quickest wins.
Awards: Cash Prize Payout to the top three Men and Women. The Pot will only get bigger as the meet day draws near! Awards will be given to the Top 3 Podium Finishers!
