Limitless Elite Gym is bringing back Strongman to its schedule this year and kicking it off with The Backbreaker Open.  Hosted in Appleton, WI at Limitless Elite Gym.

Registration AND Spectator tickets all include a FREE T-Shirt.

This is a sanctioned event through USS Strongman all athletes must prove current valid USS membership before being able to compete.  If you do not have a valid membership, you cannot compete.

Weigh ins: 8:00am

Rules meeting: 9:30am

Events and Rules: 

note all events are subject to change**

*For all events:

1. No deadlift suits or Multi-ply of any kind
2. No Bare feet (shoes must be worn at all times)
3. Contest shirt must be worn at all times

1. Log Press

Athletes will perform as many reps as possible in 60 seconds

1. Athlete will start off of the platform
2. 60 second time limit
3. Athlete must receive "DOWN" command at lockout for each rep to count
4. Athlete must maintain control of the implement, if implement rolls or bounces off of platform then rep will not count

ITEMS ALLOWED: wrist wraps, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, 1 belt, shoes must be worn at all times.

Log Press Weight

Womens LW+MW - 65lbs
Womens HW+SHW - 85lbs

Mens LW+MW - 135
Mens HW+SHW - 185

2. Axle Deadlift

Athletes will lift maximal weight, the weight on the bar will increase until failure is reached

1. Athletes will begin strapped in
2. Once given the "GO" command, athletes will begin their deadlift
3. Athlete must receive "DOWN" command at lockout for a lift to count
4. Hitching/Ramping is allowed, bar cannot stop at the knees or rest before finishing the rep

Deadlift Suits & Briefs are NOT allowed

Deadlift Weight
This is a raising bar maximal effort event.  The bar will start at 135lbs and increase till the final deadlift.

3. Farmers Carry

Athletes will carry Farmer Handles down 50ft each for fastest time

1. Athletes will start with their hands on the implements
2. 60 second time limit
3. Time stops once the front of the farmer handles cross the finish line
4. Straps are NOT allowed

ITEMS ALLOWED: wrist wraps, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, 1 belt, shoes must be worn at all times.

 

4. Truck Pull

Athletes will pull a truck 50ft each for fastest time

1. Athletes will start with their hands on the implements
2. 60 second time limit
3. Time stops once the front of the tire cross the finish line

ITEMS ALLOWED: wrist wraps, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, 1 belt, shoes must be worn at all times.

The truck being pulled is a Ford Excursion

5. Yoke Carry

Athletes will carry a yoke 50ft each for fastest time

1. Athletes will start with their hands on the implements
2. 60 second time limit
3. Time stops once the front of the tire cross the finish line
