Welcome to the first Fox It Up Classic!! The event is designed to be a first chance qualifier for 2024 Nationals, and an excellent event for first time athletes.
Registration Deadline:
- May 5th 2023 at 11:59pm. Online entry must be submitted by this date.
- Contest will cap at 150 Athletes

Weigh ins will be conducted:
Friday May 12th (0900-1500) and Saturday May 13th (from 0730 - 0800)

Saturday, May 13th (from 0830 - UTC)
Events and Rules:
*For all events:
- No gloves of any kind
- No Bare feet (skin to mat)
- All non-SC grip shirts allowed
- No build up belts (Only 1 hard and 1 soft allowed)
- NO Baby Powder for any event
Event 1: Axle press for reps
- Athlete may start with hands on axle
- Belts cleans ARE allowed.
- Non-SC grip shirts ONLY if you would like to wear a grip shirt
- Athlete will be given a 60 second time limit to lift the axle ground to overhead as many times as possible- the event will be clean and press away, athlete WILL be given a down command when axle is fully locked out and feet are even.
- All kinds of pressing are allowed, split jerk, power jerk, push press
- If Athlete lose control of implement, such as rolls you must roll back to area to start pressing again.
ITEMS ALLOWED: knee sleeves, Elbow sleeves, 1 soft belt, 1 hard belt either a leather pioneer style or a hard Velcro belt 1 or the other not both, shoes must be worn, wrist wraps, liquid chalk, Non-SC grip shirt.
ITEMS NOT ALLOWED: knee wraps, elbow wraps, straps tacky/tacky towel, suits/briefs of any kind, no tree topping or dropping implement you will be given a zero no warnings period, NO Resting axle on head
Event 2: Axle deadlift for reps
- Athlete will start off platform- on judges go command athlete will strap in or start lifting
- 60 second time limit to perform as many reps as possible. BAR CANNOT REST ON TOP OF KNEES.
- Athlete will be given a down command once fully locked out, and a lift command once the bar has settled on the ground.
- Hitching/ Ramping is allowed again bar cannot stop at the knees and Rest then finish pulling the bar.
- Must be wearing socks at minimum; may also wear shoes with them if desired.
- If Athlete pees, poops or vomits on platform athlete must clean up before walking off. This is not meant to attack anyone!!! Our insurance doesn’t cover blood born pathogens or anything else that can be passed through bodily fluids. We will provide cleaning supplies at all platforms.
- Hands must remain wrapped around the bar. Which means thumbs must remain in contact bar. No lifting with the wrist.
ITEMS ALLOWED- knee sleeves, Elbow sleeves, 1 soft belt, 1 hard belt either a leather pioneer style or a hard Velcro belt 1 or the other not both, chalk, wrist wraps, non-SC grip shirt, straps, must always have a foot covering on.
ITEMS NOT ALLOWED- Tacky/tacky towel, knee/elbow wraps, baby powder, deadlift suits.
Event 3: Thor's Hammer Hold for time
- Athlete will begin with their back flat against the wall. Spotters will hand the Hammer to athlete and assist in getting implement into position.
- Once the athlete's arms are straight and fully extended, the judge will give the go command and time will begin.
- Time will continue until the athlete can no longer hold their arms straight, elbows flair, athletes back no longer remains against the wall, or athlete drops the implement.
- Shoes must be worn during the event.

Event 4: Yoke carry for time
- Judge will give the command "take position" at which time the athlete will get set under the yoke. Judge will then ask if the athlete is ready. Upon acknowledgement that athlete is ready, Judge will give the command "go" and time will begin.
- Athlete will have 60 seconds to carry the yoke 50 ft.
- Points will be awarded based off of time.
- Athlete will receive points based off of distance if the athlete is unable to complete the full 50 ft run.
- There is no limit on drops.
- Athlete must wear shoes.

Event 5: Stone-off
- This will be a head to head event like you have seen on Clash on the Coast or World's Strongest Man.
- Athletes will begin on opposing sides of each other.
- On the command go, the first athlete will have 30 seconds to get the stone over the yoke bar to the other side. The opposing athlete will have 30 seconds to return the stone. This will continue until one an athlete fails to load the stone within the given time frame.
- Once one athlete is eliminated, another will immediately replace them. The event will continue until all athletes have failed to load a stone.
- In the event there is one athlete left standing. They will be allowed 40 seconds to load the stone, to have it returned by the spotters.
- Height will be 48" for the women and 52" for the men.
- Shoes must be worn during the event.
