The Psychotic Strength Warrior Expo Presents:

The Heaviest Highlander

This is 1 of 4 completely Different Sanctioned Events at the Warrior Expo.

Full Expo Schedule:

8/9/2025 Will be: 8am-1pm Strongman (Terra Forma), 1:30-7pm Buhurt (Medieval Suits of armor battles)

8/10/2025 Will be: 8am-1 Powerlifting Meet, 1:30-7pm Highlander Games

You can compete in 1,2,3, or even all 4 events. Each has their own League and you need to be a part of each league to compete in that event.

There will be around 30 vendors food and entertainment for both days. Think Ren Faire meets strength sports.

Weigh ins:

8/8/2025 (Friday before) 2pm to 6pm Hardcore Barbell (1417 NE 76th St B, Vancouver, WA 98665) or 8/10/2025 (Day of) 12pm to 1pm At Donald Farm (424 Whalen Rd, Woodland, WA 98674)

Athlete Check-in:

Must be checked in and weighed no later than 1pm 8/10/2025

Rules Meeting:

1:30pm 8/10/2025

Tickets are $30 for the day or $50 for both days. Under 12 gets in free. $5 off preorder of the 2-day pass. Athlete receives day pass for themselves on day of their competition.

For all events:

1. Kilts are required
2. Grip shirts are allowed if not wearing grip shirt contest shirt must be worn (please no Strongman Corp grip shirts)
3. Belts, sleeves, and chalk are allowed.
4. No Tacky or substitutes will be allowed in any event.
5. No lifting suits on any event.

Event 1: Stone Put Heavy

Distance

Time Limit: 60 seconds

2 Attempts to throw your heavy stone as far as you can.

Items Allowed: Belts, Chalk, Wrist Wraps.

Event 2: Hammer Throw Heavy

Distance

Time Limit: 60 seconds

2 attempts to throw your Heavy Hammer as far as you can

Items Allowed: Chalk, Wrist Wraps, Belts.

Event 3: Caber Toss

Scoring: Score is a judgement call. Judge will follow behind that athlete during the attempt and determine score based on the initial landing position of the caber. A perfect score will be called a 12, with lower scores being called at 11, 10 , 9 etc..

Time Limit: 60 seconds

2 attempts to toss the caber so that it lands in the 12 o'clock position, or as straight as possible relative to the thrower's approach.

Items Allowed: Belts, Sleeves, Chalk, Wrist Wraps. 

Event 4: Dinney Stone Hold

Time

Pick up both stones. Time starts when both are in the air. Longest hold wins. DO NOT DROP THEM ON YOURSELF.

Items Allowed: Belts, Sleeves, Chalk,

Not Allowed: Tacky, Gloves, Grip tape.

People recording points are not to be asked questions or bothered. If you or even a person you are with speaks to or harasses the score keepers you will zero the event in question. There will be 1 warning at the rules meeting and not another. They are putting in points based on what the judges tell them to. Speak to the judge you had for the event in transitions to next event if you have an issue. Video evidence is the easiest way to handle a situation. In the end unless evidence is brought forth the judges have final say.
