The Sequel to the Ironkilt Games is here at the UBU expo . Presented by Ironlife athletics . 

Traditional indoor Highland games events  along with some Old School highland strength events as well . Including team tug of war. Husafell Load to hip height . Mas Wrestling , and Finally the return of the pole push .

Highland Strength events are scored separately from traditional events. So these Events are optional. But are encouraged. Strength events will start  after all traditional events are concluding or have ended. Tie breakers will also be determined with an agreed highland strength event between two tied athletes.

All traditional highland games events will be done first then lead into highland strength events.

Kilt required to compete. Light weight competitors can weigh in day of event or day before at ironlife athletics .

9am rules meeting and class placements Please do not be late , we have a full day of events to get to , so remember parking early is suggested .  

Mas Wrestling-

 The athlete that wins the coin toss chooses the Ring hold position (internal or external for the first match), and the one who chooses the external hold, shows his position (left or right) and has no right to change it. In second match the grip is reversed/switched (internal/external), and if third match is necessary, another coin toss. The ring must be over the board and parallel to it, hands and fingers are not to overlap. Victory is declared when a contestant manages to pull his opponent over the board and keep the ring in his hands.

 Elimination tournament format .

Celtic  Pole Push event -

Two athletes hold a pole/caber one at each end then using the leverage of the pole and their might    push the other athlete out of bounds , if the pole is dropped by an athlete he or she forfeits.   Elimination tournament format .

Husafell load

Athletes will be given 3 attempts at lifting the heaviest husafell to hip height. Fail any attempt at any weight you are out .
