We're back! The Valley's Strongest 2024 will be a thrilling, fast paced event where you can showcase your strength and qualify for Strongman Corporation Nationals 2024.
This will be a Strongman Corporation Nationals invite for qualifying classes. Since this is a Strongman Corporation sanctioned event, all athletes must prove current valid Strongman Corporation membership status at check ins before being able to compete. No membership/No compete.
Each weight class must have at least 2 or more competitors the day of competition or they may be combined.
All competitors must have a valid Strongman Corporation Card to be able to compete the day of the event.
Licensing & Memberships – Strongman Corporation
**Novice is typically for first time athletes competing and do not qualify for a national invite. If you compete in an event as a novice athlete and place in the top three at any time, then you are no longer considered a novice athlete, and you will be asked to compete in the open division. Once you have competed in a Novice division more than two times, you will be asked to move to the open division.
Weigh Ins/Athlete Check-Ins
EVERYONE MUST check-in on May 3rd (weigh-ins are NOT allowed the day of the event), including SHW Classes. Athletes under the age of 18 must have parent at check in

Qualifying for Nationals:
If there are 2-5 athletes in a class:
1st place - Qualifies for Nationals (2024)
If there are 6+ athletes in a class:
1st place - Qualifies for Nationals (2024)
2nd place - Qualifies for Nationals (2024)
Circus Dumbbell (10" for Women/ 12" for Men)
- Athletes may start with their hands on the Dumbbell. Once given the “GO” command, athlete will begin to clean & press the implement as many times as possible in 60 seconds. Athlete will lock out overhead, receive the “DOWN” command, then lower the dumbbell back down to the crash pad and begin another repetition. Athletes MUST receive a “DOWN” command for each rep. Points will be deducted if the athlete drops the dumbbell onto the floor instead of the crash pad. Athlete must press dumbbell with one arm.
Equipment allowed:
- 1 Soft belt/ 1 Hard belt
- Elbow sleeves
- Knee sleeves
- Chalk
- Wrist wraps
Not allowed:
- Tacky/tacky towels
- Wrist straps
- Grip shirt
Deadlift Ladder
- Athletes will start with their hands off of the first barbell. Athletes will then deadlift 3 barbells in ascending order once given the "GO" command. Athletes must receive a "DOWN" command before moving on to the next barbell. Time ends once athlete receives the final "DOWN" command on the 3rd barbell. 45 second time limit. Must control the weight down, no dropping from the top.
Equipment allowed:
- 1 Hard belt / 1 Soft belt
- Neoprene shorts
- Wrist straps/ Figure 8s
- Chalk
Not allowed:
- Tacky/tacky towels
- Deadlift suits/briefs
Yoke Run/ Piñata Pull
- This event will be a medley that includes a 30ft yoke run to a 30ft sled (adorned with a piñata) arm over arm drag. Athletes may start underneath the yoke. On judges “GO” command, the athlete will carry the yoke 30ft to the platform where the rope will be set up to begin the arm over arm sled drag for 30ft. Time stops when the front of the sled crosses the finish line. A 2 second slide penalty will be given to athletes that drag/slide the yoke during the carry. 60sec time limit.
Equipment allowed:
- Chalk
- Knee sleeves
- 1 Hard belt/ 1 Soft belt
Not allowed:
- Tacky/tacky towels
- Grip shirt
- Knee wraps
Stone Series
- Athlete will start will hands on the hitching post. On judges “GO” command, athlete will pick up the first stone in the series and load it over the post before athlete can proceed to the next stone. This will be a 3 stone series with a 48-inch load height. Athlete will not be allowed to grab the post as leverage, if athlete grabs post during lift, they will be given a no rep. Athlete may attempt to load the stone again if they get a no rep or fail to successfully get the stone over the post. 60 second time limit, time stops when the final (3rd) stone hits the ground.

- 1 Hard belt/ 1 Soft belt
- Neoprene shorts
- Chalk, tacky/ tacky towels
- Grip shirt
Not allowed:
- Wrist straps
- USS Grip shirt
- Knee wraps
