Kennewick, WA
Welcome to the Tri-Cities Strongman Showdown 2025!!!
We have five events lined up to test athletes this year.
Max Log-
Athletes will have 30 seconds to clean and press from the ground to overhead lockout. Athletes will receive a lift command and time will start. Athlete will proceed to clean the log to the shoulders and then press overhead. A successful attempt will require the athlete to have elbows locked and feet square. Athletes will then be given a good lift command and must return the log to the ground under control for the lift to count. Any drops other than a safety issue will result in no lift. This will be a rising bar with 3 lifts allowed per athlete. Once an attempt is missed the athlete will be done. Weight jumps will be 10lbs for women and 20lbs for men. Belt, wrist wraps, elbow and knee sleeves only. Chalk will be the only grip aid allowed. Belt Cleans allowed. Wessels rule in effect. Grip shirts can be worn for the event.
Max Deadlift-
Athletes will have 30 seconds to complete a deadlift from a standard height of 8 inches. These will be performed using a deadlift bar. Each lift will begin with a start command and receive a down command for the lift to be successful. This will be a rising bar with 3 lifts allowed per athlete. Once an attempt is missed the athlete will be done. Weight jumps will be 20lbs for women and 50lbs for men. These jumps will be maintained until there are only 3 athletes left. Straps, belts, and knee sleeves allowed. No bare feet allowed (socks are ok). No suits or briefs. Chalk only grip aid allowed.
Farmers Walk -
Athletes will have 60 seconds to complete a 100ft course. At the start command athletes will pick the implement and proceed down the course 50ft, complete a turn, and return 50ft. There will be a 1-drop limit. On the second drop a distance will be taken. Belts and knee sleeves allowed. No grip aids other than chalk (i.e. no tacky substances).
Yoke and Sandbag Carry Medley-
Athletes will have 60 secs to carry the Yoke and then Sandbag 50ft. The Yoke must cross the line fully and the Sandbag must be loaded over the Yoke crossbar. The Yoke will be first followed by the Sandbag. Belt, knee and elbow sleeves will be allowed. If the event is not finished split times will be taken for the implement. No grip aids other than chalk (i.e. no tacky substances). Grip shirts may be worn.
Sandbag Throw Over Bar-
Athletes will compete throwing the Sandbag over the bar as many times as possible in 60 secs. Women will throw to over 12ft and men 15ft. Most reps win. In the event the bag gets stuck on the cross bar the athlete will be responsible for dislodging it. If the bags falls on the side it was originally thrown from it will need to be thrown over again for the rep to count. If it falls on other side the rep will count. Knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, and belts. No grip aids other than chalk.
