Replica Husafell Carry

This is the replica husafell stone from Stix and Stone, it is an insanely accurate stone to a real husafell in Iceland. this is a dream event for anyone who ever want to carry the real husafell in Iceland. Do you have what it takes to be fullsterker?

This will be a pick a weight and carry it as far as you can. There will be a 100lb, 150lb, 210lb, 310lb, and a 409lb replica. This is a point multiplier event.

Example: Each stone is assigned a multiplier.  So, you take your distance and multiply it by the multiplier for your final distance.

100# = x1

150# = x1.25

210# = x1.5

310# = x3

409# = x4

So, if you carry the 210# stone for 30 feet, your will be credited 45 feet.  That's 30 x 1.5 = 45

Unlimited drops allowed but only 60 seconds.

NOTE: All belt buckles must be to the side or back of the competitor to protect the stones.

Fingal Finger

These are the same fingers from American Heroes Classic III made by Stix and Stone.  We didn't get to use them there because of a promoter oversight.  I purchased the wrong pins to hold it down.  We have since remedied the situation and they are ready to go.  If you were a competitor at AHCIII and really wanted to do this event, let me know and I'll send you a discount code for this event.

This is a timed event (3 reps as fast as possible).  Athlete will start with hands OFF the implement.  On the judges GO command, the athlete will clean the finger and walk it hand over hand until it tips and falls to the other side. The athlete will then run to the other side and repeat the process for a total of 3 flips, or until the 60 second time limit runs out.

There will be split times for people who complete the 3 flips. If you only get 2 flips or less, you will get a score of 2 reps in 60sec.

Replica Nicol Stone Carry

These are made by, you guessed it, Stix and Stone.  They are replica Nicol Stones very similar to the ones used at OSG (difference is minor weight differences, color and other minor cosmetic differences).

This is a speed event.  Athlete will start with hands ON the implement.  On the judges GO command, the athlete will pick up and walk with the stones 50 feet as fast as possible.  Unlimited drops, no straps, whole implement must cross the line.  We're not sure of our event area yet, so this may be a 25 ft down and back but not confirmed yet.

We will have your weights listed by Dec. 22ND (This clearly didn't happen, but they are up now, 1/11/24, Thank you for your patience).

Stone Put

Classic strength test: "How far can you throw this rock" The stones will be roughly 8, 12, 16 and 24 pounds.

This is a throw for distance event.  Athlete will have 30 seconds to throw the implement as far as possible. The stone must be put (thrown) with one hand and with the stone remaining against the neck throughout the throw until the release. Any throwing style may be used as long as the rules are followed, and the style is deemed safe by the judge. Example of NOT SAFE: Throwing like a ball, slinging like a frisbee.  Look up a video of a stone put, or a shot put and that is how it is thrown.

The throwing area is ROUGHLY 4ft 6in wide and 7ft 6in long.  One foot may touch outside the left and right side of the throwing area and no feet may touch outside the front or back of the throwing area.

Each athlete will be given 2 attempts and your total distance of the two throws added together will be your distance. So it behooves you to throw hard for both attempts.

Pole Push

Imagine Sumo wrestling and Tug of War had a baby, that baby would be the Pole Push.

This is a face to face, 1v1, mano a mano event! There will be a wooden pole made by.... (do I really need to say it again?) STIX and STONE! the pole will have two handles on each end.  The athletes will have hands on the implement positioned in the center of a ring.  On the Judges GO command, they will attempt to push the other athlete out of the ring or off their feet.

Athletes will be allowed to have one knee go to the ground and not be out.

Scoring will be done in a bracket format.  We will reorder the athletes before the event starts.  There will be a Winners bracket and a Losers bracket.  If there is an odd number, the higher seed will get a bye for the first round.
