HAPPY FALL!
Welcome to the return of the Strongman Portion of Strengthfest!
This year, we will be a USS qualifier for the 2026 Nationals event.
Please read the information carefully, and reach out with any further questions.
Transparency
Volunteers, promoters, judges... They host events as a passion project. This isn't a fulltime job, and typically we break even on these events. The purpose is and always has been to give local athletes a chance to participate in the sport and become involved in the community.
Please ensure to follow these Pillars when competing or spectating...
Positivity
- Please be positive of all individuals taking part in the event. Everyone is doing their best! Mistakes can, and will likely, happen. We need to respond to adversity with positivity.
Respect
- Please respect all members of the event; athletes, volunteers, and spectators alike. Respect the facility and the rules in place.
Sportsmanship
- Be a good sport. Win or lose, the way we respond is a representation of not only ourselves but of the community.
If we follow these three pillars, we will provide not only a positive experience for our athletes, but for all members taking part in the event.
EVENT INFORMATION
Weigh Ins:
Saturday, October 4th
- 9:30am-1:00pm
- 6:00pm-10:00pm
Sunday, October 5th
- 8:30-9:00am prior to the event
SPECTATORS
- Spectators can pay a 5 dollar fee prior to the competition date during the presale, or 8 dollars day of. I encourage the presale! It makes entry much smoother. My lovely wife handles door fees, please make her job easy!
- BYOC (Bring your own Chair)
- Do not go into warm up areas or (this should go without saying) event areas.
- Do not use the gym equipment! Evolve does do day passes, but you need to reach out to the owner.
- If you have kids, please watch them! We have ran into instances in the past where children have entered warm up areas or messed with equipment. As much as we love kids, we cannot have them in danger.
- No pets inside the gym please!
- If you see trash, pick it up :) . All of our events have had extremely respectful and kind spectators. Let's keep that up!
EVENT ITINERARY:
- 9:00am: Rules meeting.
- 9:15am: Warm ups for Event 1 begins
- 9:30am-10:15am: Event 1, Overhead Press Medley

If you have competed in a show we've run, events do move quickly! Once you have completed your event, you should begin warming up for the next event.
Event 3 and 4 will be ran at the same time with different groups. We will run event 1, 2, and 5 as a large group, since we want to see some PRs!
Overhead Press Medley
The athlete will have 75 seconds to move through 5 overhead implements. Log, Barbell, Circus, Log, Axle. For a good lift the athlete must...
- Have both elbows locked out, head through. IF YOU HAVE AN ELBOW ISSUE LET THE JUDGE KNOW! THEY CAN'T READ MINDS!
- Feet together if you split jerk.
- DO NOT LET THE WEIGHT FREE FALL.
- By this, I mean to guide the weight down. You don't need to control it to your chest or anything unreasonable, but there needs to be an effort to hit the crash pads. Keep your hands on the implement until it hits the crash pads.
Fastest time or most implements pressed wins.
Max Deadlift
Athlete will have 45 seconds to pull a max deadlift from the floor. Deadlift bar, suits, briefs, straps, etc. allowed. Once again, similar to the overhead, please make sure to not just free fall the weight from the top. If a strap fails or something of that nature, whatever. Just don't do the thing where you drop it from the top, scream profanity, and headbutt our stone platform (get the joke?).
Conans Wheel-Keg Medley
The athlete will have 60 seconds to do a lap with a conan's wheel and 3 loads with a keg. This is a change! Pretty much any equipment allowed besides tacky.
Men: 52 inch load height
Women: 46 inch load height
Yoke-Farmers Medley
It's a medley! Yay.
Yoke-30 feet, transition into a farmers carry. Carry the farmers 30 feet. Only the front of the yoke needs to cross the line. Time stops once the front of the farmers crosses the finish line. Fastest time/furthest distance wins. When measuring distance, we will not take exact distances. There will be markers on the floor. You must pass each marker to get credit for the distance. IE 1/6, 2/6, 3/6... Etc. This expedites the measuring process while still giving a fair way to assess a winner in the instance that no competitor finishes the entire run.
No straps or tacky.
Trump Sandbag to Shoulder
Athletes will stand in the center of a circle with various weight sandbags. The athlete will approach a sandbag. Once the competitor is ready, they will have 60 seconds to lift the heaviest possible sandbag either for a single or repetitions. There will be a crashpad to drop the bags on. Heaviest bag lifted wins. In the case that two athletes lift the same bag, the most reps win.
No tacky, ropes, straps... Etc.
Sandbag Weights (subject to change)
100, 125, 150, 200, 220, 250, 270, 310, 340, 380, 400
Warm Ups:
There will be space for warm ups. Please make sure you are ready for each event.
REFUNDS
Refunds are eligible prior to the purchase date of September 1st. Following September 1st, I will be purchasing all trophies, shirts, athlete swag, etc. After that date, I cannot provide a refund.
AWARDS
1-3 in each division
Trying to find something cool. I've done the monograms in the past which turn out great, but I'm looking for something new. The trophies will be memorable.
