Event Rules

#1 - Overhead Medley:

Mouser Block, Sandbag Over Shoulder,  Log, Axle

Mouser Block  Measurements 22x10x8

Implements will be set up in a straight line in front of the athletes. (Distance apart is still TBD). Mouser Block will be placed feet on the floor, Sandbag will be standing up, Log will be on crash pads, and Axle will be on bumper plates. Announcer will confirm "Timer/Judge Ready, Athlete Ready, Take your mark, GO!"

Athlete will clean and press the mouser block overhead. Upon a controlled lockout, Athlete will receive a down command, and will control the implement down to crash pads. Athlete will continue to Sandbag, lifting sandbag to their shoulder (full sandbag must be on shoulder, no draping chest or arms), then outstretch their opposite hand / remove hand from sandbag and receive down command from judge. Athlete will continue to Log, cleaning and pressing the log overhead. Upon showing control of the log overhead, athletes will receive a down command from their judge. Athletes will then continue to the Axle. Athletes will clean and press the axle overhead. Upon showing control of the Axle overhead the judge will give a down command. Time will stop at the completion of the last rep when the judge gives the Down/Good command.

Judges will give both a verbal and visible down/good command for all athletes. All athletes must show control of their implements before receiving a down command. If a split is used for any implement, athletes feet must be brought back together/to parallel before they will receive a down command. If an athlete jumps the call, there will be a no rep and the athlete will need to perform the movement again. All implements must be brought down under control. If an implement is brought down out of control, this will also be considered a No Rep. No Tree Topping or resting implements on your head. Judges will be situated standing at the end of the run in front of the axle.

Event Shirt MUST be worn. You may wear a grip shirt under your shirt, however other federation emblems may not be showing!

Big Hess Axle Bars will be used. These are solid axle bars (not hollow), and have light knurling.

Equipment Allowed: Knee Sleeves, 1xSoft Belt + 1x Hard Belt, 1 Pair Elbow Sleeves, Wrist Wraps, Mouth Guard, Lifters.

Equipment NOT Allowed: Grip Shirts (unless worn under comp shirt), tacky of any kind (competition, spray, tacky towels), build up belts, doubled up elbow sleeves, lifting straps.

#2 - Max 18" Axle Deadlift

Athletes will be required to give their 1st lift attempt when they weight in/sign in on Friday. We will start at a specific weight and move up in increments of 50#, then 30#. When we get to the last athletes, or last athletes in a class, we may chose to go up in lower increments.  We will maintain the lifters order based on the placing of the previous event, and the athletes opening weight. We plan to have 2 platforms running.

Athletes will be called to the platform and will have :15 seconds to strap in for their lift. Judge will give the Athlete Ready, then Lift Command. On the Lift Command, time will start. Athlete will have 45 seconds to complete their lift. Athletes will receive a Down/Good command verbally and visibly.

Equipment Allowed: Suits WILL be allowed,

#3 - Max Flip Fingal Finger

Athletes will lift & flip a Mike Bartos Fingal Finger for as many reps as possible. There will be a second "Trump Fingal Finger" option that will be longer and heavier than the Mike Bartos option. A single rep on the "Trump Fingal Finger" will equate to more than any flips on the Mike Bartos Fingal Finger. Specifications on each implement are coming soon!

#4 - Max Distance Mouser Block Carry (Large Block)

Measurements: 28x12x10

This event is essentially a max distance sandbag carry performed with a mouser block. We are using the mouser blocks, made by Texas Power Concepts. We will be using the large version of the blocks, not the small version. Blocks can be carried horizontally or vertically, but they can not be shouldered. This is an unlimited time event. Athletes will have :30 to pick from the ground and begin their walk forward.

Equipment Allowed: Grip Shirts WILL be allowed (except competing federation shirts)

Equipment NOT Allowed:

*****

#5 - Stone Series (5-6 Stones/Descending Height/Ascending Weight)

Descending Height / Ascending Weights. Height starts at 60in.

Athletes will start with both wrists on the platform. Athletes will then be given the "Athletes Ready, Take your Mark, GO" command. They will pick up the stone and load onto the platform. The stone must stay on the platform. Athletes will proceed down the line and attempt to load all the stones within the :60 sec time window. If an athlete picks a stone from the ground and then time is called, the athlete can finish that load as long as the stone does not again touch the ground.

Equipment Allowed: Your favorite beater stone T-Shirt or a grip shirt (with no other federation logos) so you don't totally thrash your comp shirt,  Soft Belt, Hard Belt, Elbow Sleeves, Knee Wraps, Knee Sleeves, Wrist Wraps, Tacky, Tacky Spray

Equipment NOT Allowed: Spud Stone Strap

There will be a designated area for tacky application and removal, as well as a "Holding Bin" for athletes that have applied tacky. Athletes will NOT be allowed outside of these areas once tacky has been applied. Immediately upon completing their stone series, all athletes will immediately go to the tacky clean up areas and remove all tacky. We will provide solutions and towels for tacky clean up. Athletes will stay in clean up area until all tacky has been removed.
