Start Time: 10:00a
EVENTS/RULES:
Log Press:
- Athletes will have the choice between two logs. A lighter 10" MBPC or a heavier 12" MBPC log
- The Heavier Log equates to more points. If one Athlete chooses the lighter Log and achieves for example 5 reps, but another Athlete chooses the Heavier Log completes 1 rep. The Athlete that chose the heavier Log wins.
- 60sec time limit to get as many reps completed as possible
- If Athlete chooses heavy Log but misses an attempt, Athlete can choose to move to the light log. If Athlete chooses the light log first and completes a rep, Athlete can move to the heavy log. If Athlete gets a rep on the Heavy log that is 1 rep, not 2 as the first rep was on the lighter log.
- Knees and elbows must be locked, feet in line, head through
- No dropping from over head, if this occurs it is up to the judges discretion to take away the rep or to zero the event. This is to not only protect the Athlete but to protect the spotters/loaders, judges, and equipment
- Athletes can have one hard belt and one soft belt and can rest weight on belt to clean the bar
- Equipment Allowed: Knee Sleeves, Elbow Sleeves, Wrist Wraps
- Equipment Not Allowed: Elbow Wraps, Tacky, Any kind of sticky substance
- Athlete to complete the most reps within the given time frame wins
Odd Object Medley:
- 60sec time limit to complete the course, this is a total of a 75course
- Weight listed first is for the War hammer and is Per Hand. Seems low but is a very awkward implement
- War Hammer, Sandbag, Keg (Weights TBD in Matrix, will be updated by Friday 4/26)
- Athlete will begin w/ the first implement (War Hammer), run this down to the first 25' line w/ entire implement crossing and setting down onto crash pad. DO NOT THROW OR FREE DROP. If thrown or dropped from shoulder, 5seconds will be added to Athletes time. Athlete will then grab the second implement and bring down the opposite 25'. Front of implement must cross this finish line. Athlete will then grab the third and final implement to return to original start line to finish, only the front needs to cross to complete the course.
- If implement is slid across a finishing line, 5 seconds will be added to the time
- If Athlete completes first implement, that is one rep and time is taken. If Athlete completes the second implement, that is two reps plus time taken. If Athlete then fails the third implement and are half way down the course, this is still counted as two reps.
- One drop allowed per implement, once an implement is dropped twice the Athlete is done w/ this event and a measurement will be taken.
- Athlete to complete the course the quickest wins
Max 18" Deadlift:
- Minimum Start Weight is in the Weight Matrix
- 3 attempts, 60 second time limit per attempt
- After each attempt, Athlete will need to check in w/ table to give next attempt
- All attempts will go in order from lightest to heaviest weight and be ran similar to a Powerlifting Meet
- Straps and suits allowed. No sumo. Hitching allowed
- 18" measured from the center of the bar to the floor
- Hips, knees, shoulders locked. Down command from the Judge will be given upon complete lock out
- No dropping from lockout position, if dropped it will be a zero for that attempt. With Wessels rule implemented this would be your final attempt and cannot take another
- This will be on a Texas Power Bar w/ National Records on the line
- Equipment Allowed: Deadlift Suits, Knee Sleeves, Elbow Sleeves, Wrist Wraps, Straps, Figure 8's. If you have another style of straps please get w/ the Judge(s) to confirm
