This is a USS Texas Record Breakers show ONLY… You can NOT set National Records at this comp.
You can pick and choose how many events you want to complete in; The top 3 in each weight class will get a nationals invite as long as you do 3 of the events- overhead of choice ( log or axle); deadlift of choice and Farmers hold or the Sandbag over bar.
You will be scored on all 7 events so if you choice to do 4 then you will get points for 4 events and 0 in the other.
On weigh ins- you will need to let us know which events you are attempting and when going for the record attempt you will need to let Jon or Megan know.

Rules for both Press Events:
log and axle clean
1. Athlete may start with hands on implement
2. Belts cleans ARE allowed.
3. Revis Grip Shirts ONLY
4. Athlete will be given a 60 second time limit to lift the implement from ground to overhead , athlete WILL be given a down command when implement is fully locked out and feet are even.
5. All kinds of pressing are allowed, split jerk, power jerk, push press
ITEMS ALLOWED: knee sleeves, Elbow sleeves, 1 soft belt, 1 hard belt either a leather pioneer style or a hard Velcro belt 1 or the other not both, Shoes, wrist wraps, chalk, grip shirt.
ITEMS NOT ALLOWED: knee wraps, elbow wraps, straps tacky/tacky towel, suits/briefs of any kind, no tree topping or dropping implement you will be given a zero no warnings period, NO Resting axle on head.
Rules for Deadlift Events:
Will be using a TX Powerbar axle from floor deadlift bar from floor 18” deadlift with power bar
1.Athletes can start strapped in with hands ON implements, will start after judge's "go" command.
2.Athlete will be given a 60 second time limit to lift the implement from ground to locked out position , athlete WILL be given a down command when implement is fully locked out.
Hitching/ ramping allowed just get it up
ITEMS ALLOWED-: knee sleeves, Elbow sleeves, 1 soft belt, 1 hard belt either a leather pioneer style or a hard Velcro belt 1 or the other not both, wrist wraps, chalk, Straps, Briefs, suits, long socks required or foot covering ( NO BAR FEET)
NOT ALLOWED- Tacky/tacky towel, knee/elbow wraps, no Sumo
Rules for Farmers Hold:
1. This will go on athletes as soon as the athletes lock out the farmers time will begin.
2.Hold the handles for as long as you can. Simple as that.
3. Standard pick height- Mike Bartos Farmers Handles.
Items Allowed: knee/elbow sleeves, belt, sauna shorts, chalk, liquid chalk.
Not allowed: suits of any kind, straps, tacky, tacky towel, thumb tape, hooks
Rules for Sandbag Over Bar:
1.Athlete can open at any weight; once opened you must take each weight after that.
Example: If I open at 30lbs; once you successfully throw it over you will then wait till we circle back around to 35lbs and thentake that attempt as well.
2.Woman's class will be throwing over a 10ft bar and men 13ft.
3. You will only get 30seconds from judges start command.
Only these items listed are allowed: wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, knee sleeves, belt, chalk shoes must be worn.
