Max Log (60 sec)

Texas and National Records can be set during this event.

Women will use a 10 inch log approx. 90lb empty. Men will use a 12 inch log approx. 125lbs empty. 

Athletes have 60 seconds to complete a rep. A press will be considered good when the athlete shows control of the implement with it locked out overhead, with shoulders, hips, and knees stacked. A “down” command will be given when the judge determines the lift complete. Three attempts and Wessels rule applies.

Athletes can use wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, belts, grip shirts, chalk. 

No Tacky No built-up belt

Standard Axle Deadlift for Reps (60 sec)

1. Athlete will will be given time to strap in if they chose to do so.
2. 60 second time limit to perform as many reps as possible. NO TOUCH AND GO REPS. Bar must come to a complete stop each rep.
3. Athlete will be given a down command once fully locked out.
4. Hitching/ Ramping is allowed
5. Must be wearing long socks at minimum; may also wear shoes with them if desired.
6. If Athlete pees, poops or vomits on platform athlete must clean up before walking off. This is not meant to attack anyone!!!  We will provide cleaning supplies at all platforms.
7. Hands must remain wrapped around the bar. Which means thumbs must remain around bar. No lifting with the wrist.

ITEMS ALLOWED- knee sleeves, Elbow sleeves, 1 soft belt, 1 hard belt either a leather pioneer style or a hard Velcro belt 1 or the other not both, chalk, wrist wraps, straps, must always have a foot covering on.

ITEMS NOT ALLOWED- Tacky/tacky towel, knee/elbow wraps, no suits

Hammer Front Hold

Athletes must hold the implement straight out from the torso. Using the fists as a guide the implement must not go below chin level or higher than eye level. Athletes may get one warning from the judge to correct the form. Next time the level is broken, time will be stopped.

Athletes can use wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, belts, chalk. 

No Tacky, gloves

Duck Walk to Load (75 sec)

The athlete will Duck Walk three handles from 20 15 and 10 feet away and load them onto an 18 inch platform. The handle and weights must be upright and remain on the platform.  They must be completed from lowest weight to highest weight.  The handles will be approximately 15 inches tall.

No Tacky. gloves

Chalk, belt, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, knee sleeves allowed.

Sandbag over Bar (60 sec)

The athlete will lift the sandbag and place it over the bar for as many reps as possible.  The athlete will be loading over a yoke and will need to go under or around the yoke for each rep.
