This event will be held indoors. Spectators can bring their own chairs. Weigh-ins will be on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 8am-10am and from 3pm-6pm at the venue. We will also allow weigh-ins the day of the event from 8am-9am for those who cannot make it the previous day. The rules meeting will be at 9:00am before the start of the event. All competitors are required to attend.
This contest is a sanctioned event with the United States Strongman. Up-to-date memberships are required to compete. Please remember, memberships run on the calendar year.

The Overhead Medley event will include a clean and press of the circus dumbbell and sandbag. You will choose the implement you will start with and then switch back and forth after each complete rep. Down commands will be given. 60 seconds to get as many reps as possible. Chalk, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves and belts are permitted. No grip shirts or elbow wraps.
The Axel Bar Deadlift event is a max deadlift using Wessel's Rules. Standard pick height. Sleeves, belts, and chalk allowed. No lifting straps permitted.
The Keg Carry with Overhead Press event will have a 90 second time limit to finish the carry and press as many reps as you can. You will walk the keg 40ft with overhead presses every 10ft (at 10ft, 20ft, 30ft and 40ft). At 40ft you will press until the end of the 90-seconds. Reps don't count until they have been completed at the 40ft mark. Down commands will be given. Belts and chalk allowed.
The Steinborn Squat event is a max weight lift using Wessel's Rules. Lifters will lift the barbell off the floor to the point that the bar is perpendicular to the ground, roll it onto their back, perform a full squat, then slowly unload the bar back to the floor in the same manner it was picked up. Down commands will be given for the squat and the unload. Bar weight will increase by 20lbs each round. No tacky or grip shirts allowed. Belt and chalk allowed.
The Overhead Rope Pull event is for quickest time. Athletes will lift the designated weight into the air by using a rope pulled over a rig cross beam. Athletes will sit and use only arms to pull the rope down. The athlete may not leave the 3ft x 3ft foot box that will surround the athlete area. Belt and Chalk allowed. Gloves not allowed.
