World's Strongest Manatee 3 - March 4, 2023 at the Manatee County Fairgrounds, as part of the Manatee Strength and Combat Expo, in conjunction with THE VICE powerlifting meet, Sapateiro Invitational Jiu Jitsu tournament, and a crossfit competition hosted by Crossfit Havoc, with more sports to be added! We will have food trucks, vendors, and more! The Fairgrounds has easy highway access, parking on site and many bathrooms. No long wait times for the restroom!

 This competition will be on a rodeo style clay pitch with arena seating. It is outdoors but will be completely covered and in the shade. There is ample room for canopies and athlete tent set up on site.

This is an UNSANCTIONED event. No exclusivity to a federation, you can wear any grip shirt or logo you want. Please keep it family friendly.

MASTERS DIVISIONS - Open Weight

BEGINNER DIVISION - This if for a TRUE BEGINNER - if you have not lifted long, or do not have a decent baseline level of strength, but want to try the sport of strongman, this is for you. This is ideal for younger athletes, or anyone that has strength trained less than 1 year.

24 hour weigh ins - can be done virtually via facetime, IG, or FB messenger call.

Event will run highland games style - 5 event stations happening simultaneously.

Throwing Sandbag Over Bar

4 Bags Will be laid out by ascending weight. This event is scored by points AND time. A ONE HANDED throw is worth TWO POINTS on a sandbag. A TWO HANDED throw is worth one point. Point total counts first, then time. For example, if you complete all your throws two handed in 15 seconds, that is FOUR points. If another competitor does a one handed throw for the first bag, then two handed throws for the next three, that athlete will score FIVE points and finish ahead of you regardless of time.

80 foot arm over arm Vehicle Pull. 60 second time limit. Vehicles TBD

Keg Press

Keg Overhead Press for max reps in 60 seconds. Keg must be returned to the ground every rep.

Will Development Trial by Stone

Athlete will perform 3 stone to shoulders, carry stone 30 feet (CAN CARRY ANY WAY YOU WANT), set stone down on the mat for 3 more stone to shoulders, then carry it back 30 feet to the start. Athlete must drop stone under control at each end.

BEGINNER DIVISONS WILL HAVE SCALED WEIGHTS FOR ALL EVENTS BUT WILL BE PARTICIPATING IN SAME EVENTS!!!!
