Weigh-ins:
Friday, April 14th 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Fit4Life Jacksonville
Saturday, April 15th 8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.
Rules meeting will start at 8:30 a.m. and lifting at 9:00 a.m. sharp!
All events are outside!!!
Keg/Sandbag Overhead Press
- Athletes will have 60 seconds to complete as many reps as possible going back and forth between implements.
- Athletes may pick which implement they would like to start with. A good rep must be completed before switching implements.
- The athlete must wait for a "good" down signal before lowering the implement with control. No deliberate dropping of implements will be permitted.
- Good lift: Locked out with arms straight, head through, feet parallel, and stationary. If you have any any anatomical limitations that prevent a good lift, talk to your judge prior to the start of the event. This is the responsibility of the athlete.
- Equipment allowed: Belt, chalk, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, knee sleeves, grip shirt.
- Equipment not allowed: Tacky of any sort, elbow wraps.
Deadlift Ladder
- Athletes will have 60 second to complete the deadlift ladder.
- The ladder will be as follows: power bar, axle bar, axle bar on wagon wheels.
- Athletes will start with the first deadlift bar; once a down command is given they may move to the second bar of the ladder. Again, once a down command is given they may move to the final bar where they have the remainder of their time to complete as many reps as possible.
- Conventional or sumo stance will be allowed.
- Hitching is allowed.
- Weights must touch the floor on both sides before the athlete may proceed to the next rep.
- Good lift: Athlete must lift the bar to a standing position with head up, shoulders back, legs and feet in line. Once given the down command athletes must maintain control to the floor.
- NO DROPPING OF THE BAR WILL BE ALLOWED AND WILL COUNT AS NO REP.
- Equipment allowed: Belt, chalk, lifting straps, knee sleeves, baby power
- Equipment not allowed: Tacky of any sort, lifting hooks, deadlift suits, briefs, vaseline or baby oil (or similar products).
Yoke/Frame Carry
- Athletes will have 60 seconds to run both implements 50 feet. Athletes will start with the yoke at one end, run the full 50 feet, then turn to pick up the frame and continue back 50 feet. The front of the implements must cross the line in order for time to stop.
- Athletes will be allowed ONE drop.
- Equipment allowed: elbow sleeves, knee sleeves, grip shirt, chalk, belt.
- Equipment not allowed: Tacky of any sort, lifting straps.
Odd Object Hold
- Athletes will hold an odd object for as long as they can.
- More information to come as an object is selected.
- Equipment allowed: wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, knee sleeves, chalk, belt.
- Equipment not allowed: Tacky of any sort.
Stone to Shoulder
- Athletes will have 60 seconds to complete as many reps as possible.
- Athletes will load to stone one shoulder and must wait for a down command before proceeding to the next rep.
- Good lift: stone lifted to one shoulder, opposite hand must release from stone, maintain control of stone on shoulder, maintain control of stone from shoulder to floor.
- NO DROPPING OF THE STONES WILL BE ALLOWED AND WILL COUNT AS NO REP.
- Equipment allowed: grip shirt, chalk, belt, tacky towel, knee sleeves, forearm sleeves (must be clean of tacky residue)
Athletes: Weight classes are subject to be combined on competition day.
