Athena's Battle on the Mountain

Competition limited to Novice competitors only. Contest not for those who have previously won in the Novice division or have competed in the Open division.
*Masters Competitors - This category will be considered "Open" and can qualify your for Nationals should you podium.
Weigh-ins: Weigh-ins will be offered on Friday, 6/21 from 6am-11am & 3p-6:30pm, and Saturday, 6/22 from 7:30-9:00am. Weight will be the tie-breaker (higher placing going to the lighter competitor).
Opening Ceremony to begin at 9:15am

Event: Powerful Persephone - Deadlift Max Event
Persephone, Goddess of the underworld, her name means "bringer of death."

Event flow
- Wessel's rule - 3 total attempts allowed. If you fail an attempt, you are allowed no further attempts.
- Weights will begin with 150 lbs and increase by 10 lbs. 45# bar will be used. Bike will be approximately 12' from Deadlift bar.
- There will be 60 seconds allotted for each attempt. You may re-attempt a missed lift within the 60-second window.
- Timer starts with athlete on the Assault Bike where they will have to accumulate 5 cals prior to attempting Deadlift. Bike screen must say 5 cals before you get off bike (can't get off in anticipation of rollover).
- Athlete begins with hands off handles and feet on bike pegs.
- The judge will give a down command once the athlete stands fully upright with knees locked, hips through and shoulders back.
- A no rep will be given if the athlete begins to descend prior to receiving the down command.
- Allowed: chalk, knee sleeves, soft or hard belts. Drop from the top allowed after down command.
- Not allowed: sumo, straps, tacky, liquid chalk, or deadlift suits.
- Please confirm your preferred seat height at check-in.
Event: Medusa's Medley - Objects Over the Yoke Event
Medusa is often referenced as symbolizing power, femininity, and the complex nature of humanity.

Event flow
- This event is for time.
- 3 objects (DBall (70#), Sandbag (100#), and Keg(100#)) will be placed approximately 30 ft from the yoke.
- Athlete will start behind the start line.
- Upon starting the timer, athlete will have 90 seconds to carry each object down and put it up and over a 43" high yoke crossbar.
- If athlete places hands on upright bars of the yoke, they will have to repeat the rep.
- Athlete must do items in order: DBall, Sandbag, Keg.
- Allowed: chalk, gloves, elbow or knee sleeves, hard or soft belts.
- Not allowed: liquid chalk, tacky.
Event: Hera's Hold - Farmer's Hold for max time
Hera is known as the queen of Greek gods given that she was the wife of Zeus. She is known as the goddess of marriage and as a protector.

Event flow
- This event is for max hold time.
- Implement used will be Rogue Farmer Carry handles.
- Time will start when the competitor is ready and the implement has left the ground.
- Time will end when any one of the farmer's handles have touched the ground.
- Be sure you are set and ready because once the implement has left the ground, time starts and there will be no re-dos.
- Allowed: chalk, elbow or knee sleeves, hard or soft belts.
- Not allowed: straps, liquid chalk, tacky, deadlift suits.
Event: Enyo's Sled Drag
Enyo is known as the goddess of war and destruction.

Event flow
- This event is for time.
- Athlete will pull sled 50 feet from start line to finish line.
- When athlete confirms that they are ready, time will start and they will drag sled from start line to finish line. Time ends when sled has crossed the finish line. There will be a 60-second time cap.
- Implement used will be a Rogue Echo sled. The straps used have hand loops at the end. You can put them over your shoulders and pull forward. Or, you can grab the loops and drag backwards. Choose your own adventure!
- Allowed: chalk, elbow or knee sleeves, hard or soft belts.
- Not allowed: straps, liquid chalk, or tacky.
Event: Aphrodite's Axle Bar Clean & Press for reps

Event flow
- This event is for max reps in a 60-second time period.
- Upon confirmation that the athlete is ready, time will start and the athlete will begin cleaning and pressing the bar overhead. Each clean and shoulder-to-overhead is one rep.
- Athlete's may either strict press, push press, push jerk, or split jerk each rep. It is required that the athlete wait for the "down" command to ensure they have demonstrated control at the top.
- Continental cleans are allowed. If a belt is worn, excessive resting on the belt is not allowed.
- Athlete must control the lowering of the implement - no tree-topping.
- Allowed: chalk, elbow or knee sleeves, hard or soft belts, wrist wraps.
- Not allowed: straps, liquid chalk, tacky.
