Join us on November 8th and 9th for the Austin Highland Games! Athlete registration will begin at 8am and we will begin throwing at 9am. Festival gates open at 11am, there is a full festival with live music, food trucks, vendors and of course a beer tent!

FIRST TIME THROWERS may register for the Novice class regardless of age/weight. This class will allow you to learn in the moment and be paired with a judge prepared to coach you. Novice class throwers are not required to wear a kilt to their first games.

You must have qualifying scores to register for an A class. Pro Class is by invitation only.

Women's Lightweights must weigh in under 155lbs, Men's Lightweights must weigh in under 200lbs.

If you are over 40 years of age, register for the appropriate age group. 

Classes may be consolidated if there are not at least 4 registrants per group. If there is sufficient demand for a group, it can be opened (ie Women's 60+ etc, age specific Masters Lightweight classes etc). If you qualify for an age group not available, you may throw the weights that align with your age group/weight class. In the event you want your scores entered into a specific class for scoring or worlds purposes, please let Micaela know and it will be taken care of regardless of the group you throw in.

All athletes contest all events. 

Each thrower may bring two family/friends with them to the field before the gates open (kids 5 and under are always free). Any additional guests, or those coming after the festival opens at 11am, will need to buy a ticket. Pop up tents are allowed, and you may bring your own food. Only service dogs and Celtic dogs registered with the festival are permitted on festival grounds.
