Description of Events
Event 1: Dinnie Stone Walk
Competitor will start 5 feet away from the implements behind a clearly marked line. Upon receiving the “lift” command from the judge, the athlete will be free to pick up the implements and carry them 15 feet across the line. Time ends when both implements touch the finish line. Fastest time wins. If the competitor can’t cross the finish line, a distance will be given. 60 Second Time Limit.
Only grip aid allowed is chalk. All other equipment is okay.
Event 2: Max Tire Deadlift
Rising Bar Format. Men will start at 400lbs, and make 50lb jumps. Women will start at 200 pounds, and make 30lb jumps. 3 Attempts. No Suits. Straps Allowed. Down Command Given. 60 Seconds Per Attempt.
Event 3: H2H Viking Press
60 second time limit to hit max reps. The judges will give the athlete time to get the implement into the front rack position before starting the time. Unlimited drops. Athletes will receive down command. No double dipping (AKA Jerk Pressing Techniques) allowed. Only strict press and push press.
All braces, belts, and wraps are allowed. Chalk only.
Event 4: Keg/Keg/Barrel Load Medley
Men will load to 52”. Women will load to 48”. Lightest keg will be 20ft away, the heaviest keg will be 15ft away, and the barrel will be 10ft away. You must lift the light keg first, heavy keg second, and barrel third. 60 second time limit. Split times will be given for each individual implement. Athletes can start with one hand on the first keg. They must be loaded in order.
All braces, belts, and wraps are allowed. Gloves allowed. Chalk only.
Event 5: Yoke Ladder for Max Distance
Course will be two lines 30 feet apart. Yoke will start behind the first line with the beginning weight. Each time the athlete crosses the line, incremental weight will be added to the yoke. The entire implement must cross the line for the next weight to be added to the implement.
Once the implement is loaded the athlete will have 5 seconds to lift the yoke and begin carrying back to the other line of the course. If they fail to lift the new weight, their course is over.
Sliding the yoke is not allowed, and if it does slide a material distance then their course is over. Whether or not a slide is deemed material, will be at the sole discretion of the judge overseeing the event. Athletes are allowed 1 drop in between the lines during the event, and given 5 seconds to have the yoke back up off the ground.
Points are awarded for each trip. If the athlete ends his/her run between the lines a distance will be given between the line and the front of the implement.
No equipment restrictions.
