Welcome back to LIBERTY's Halloween themed unsanctioned Strongman contest! Last year was such a blast, and we hope to bring that same spooky energy again this year (minus the extended run time)! We are making big adjustments and taking extra measures to ensure that the contest is run efficiently. 

Just like last year, we encourage costumes! We will be selling booze, and we will be catering BBQ. Bring the family out for a festive day of celebrating strength in the beautiful fall weather!

Weigh-In/Check-In

At Liberty Performance Training (2313 N 24th St. Phoenix, AZ 85008 Unit A) from 8am to 6pm, October 27th.

Events

The Devil's Turd: Circus DB C+P AMRAP

Athlete's will begin by standing over the DB, hands off. On the command "Athlete Ready? GO!" Athlete's will be given 60 seconds to clean and press their DB for as many reps as possible. Athlete's must wait for the down command for a good rep. This event will be scored by number of successful reps. Keep an eye on our Instagram (@libertyperformance) for the specific Dumbbells each division will use.

This event will be a stand-alone event, meaning athletes will have the freedom to complete this event at any time they choose throughout the day. 

Event 1- Hoisting Hell's Legions: Deadlift Medley (Axle, Frame, Stiff Bar, Deadlift Bar)

Athlete's will compete head-to-head in this four implement deadlift medley. Athletes will begin by standing over the first implement, hands off. On the command of "Athlete Ready? GO!" athletes will be given 60 seconds to complete one rep with each implement. Implements in order are as follows: Axle x1, Frame x1 Stiff Bar x1, Deadlift Bar x1. This event will be scored by time to completion. Split times will be taken for each successful rep.

Event 2- Eternal March Of Damnation: Max Distance Sandbag Carry

Athletes will begin by standing over the sandbag, hands off. On the command of "Athlete Ready? GO!" Athlete's will be given 90 seconds to pick and carry the sandbag as far as possible, with turns every 30 feet. NO DROPS ALLOWED. This event will be scored by distance.

Event 3- Dinnie's Curse: Dinnie Stone Hold Max Time

There will be 30 seconds time allowed from stepping onto the platform til the implement must be picked. If the implement is not picked in time, you will be "timed out" and zero the event (this is to keep the contest moving, be ready!). Once both implements are fully off the ground, time will begin. Pick height is 22". If the implements do not come off the floor due to the athlete's height, accommodations will be made to achieve a full pick of both implements.  Athlete's will hold both implements off the ground for as long as possible. Time will stop and be scored as soon as any part of the implement returns to the ground. We will be using replica Dinnie Stone handles and loading pins using standard barbell plates for this event. Much like the original Dinnie Stones, we will have offset weights that will closely match the weight difference between the stones. There will be blood.
