2” AXLE CLEAN AND PRESS: (Clean Once and Press away)

  • One attempt to complete reps.
  • 60 second time limit.
  • Axle diameters from 1.9” to 2.2” may be used.
  • The Axle will start from the floor and must be cleaned to the shoulders, then pressed, push pressed, push jerked or split jerked overhead to a locked out position.
  • The athlete may clean or continental the bar to the shoulders however NO resting of the bar on the belt or similar object will be allowed.
  • If the press is missed the athlete may bring the bar back to the shoulders and reattempt the rep.
  • The bar may be set down and recleaned to attempt more reps within the 60 seconds
  • The Athlete must wait for the “good” down signal before lowering the Axle.
  • “Good” signal: Axle locked out overhead with arms straight, head thru, legs and feet parallel and stationary.
  • The athlete must lower the Axle under control. No deliberate dropping of the axle will be tolerated. The athlete may forfeit his attempt in doing so.

 

  • Equipment Allowed: Chalk, belt, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, Knee sleeves or wraps.
  • Equipment NOT Allowed: Any item placed within the belt to provide a “shelf”, back of belt built up more than 8”, tacky, elbow wraps.

  • Any and all anatomical limitations preventing a lockout as described above must be demonstrated to the judges prior to the start of the event. This is solely the responsibility of the athlete.

 

 

DEADLIFT FOR REPS: (AXLE)

  • 60 second timelimit.
  • Conventional stance ONLYallowed.
  • Hitching isallowed.
  • Weights must touch the floor before the athlete may proceed to the nextrep
  • Both sides of the implement must touch the floor for the rep to count.
  • Athletes will start off the mat.
  • On the go command athletes may approach the bar and strap in.
  • If the athlete has already started a rep which has broken the ground before time expires. The lift will count if the athlete is able to lock it out and receive the down command from the judge.
  • GoodLift:Athletemustliftthebar toastandingpositionwith headup,shouldersback,legsandfeet inline. Fingers and thumb must be touching the bar when wearing straps. Oncethesignalisgivenforthelifttheathletemust returnthe bartothefloorundercontrol.NO DROPPING OF THE implement WILL BEALLOWED.

  • Equipment Allowed: Belt, Chalk, Knee wraps or sleeves, LiftingStraps
  • Equipment NOT Allowed: Tacky or any similar product, Lifting hooks,Suits.

 

 

YOKE CARRY:(Fastest Time)

  • One attempt.
  • There may be a 60 second time limit.
  • 80’ course length with turn
  • Multiple set downs allowed throughout the 80’ course.
  • A turn around at 40’
  • Various Yoke designs may be used however every Yoke will adjust height.
  • Athlete will start with the Yoke on the floor and shoulders under the crossbar.
  • The signal is given and the athlete must lift and carry the yoke throughout the course.
  • Touch line on the way down and fully cross the finish on the way back.
  • No sliding of the yoke will be permitted. Disqualification from the event if sliding is obvious, or a 2 second penalty if inadvertent (per slide)

  • Equipment allowed: Belt, Knee sleeves or wraps, soft belt Elbow sleeves, wrist wraps, grip shirt
  • Equipment NOT allowed: Tacky, suits, more than 1 pair of knee sleeves.

 

 

FARMERS HOLD:(FOR MAX TIME)

  • One attempt.
  • No time limit
  • Athletes will begin by grabbing farmers’ handles.
  • Equipment Allowed: Belt, Tacky. Tack towel, chalk, Knee wraps or sleeves, Wrist wraps.
  • Equipment NOT Allowed: Suits, multiple hard belts, nothing sticky at all. Lifting straps or hooks or any kind.
  • Time does not start until both implements are off the ground.
  • If dropped within the 1st 5 seconds athlete may get 1 courtesy restart.
  • This is MAX HOLD FOR TIME!
  • Time stops when 1 or both implements touch the ground.

 

 

Stone Loading Series (Fastest Time)

  • Load all stones over bar .
  • There is a 60 second time limit
  • Split times will be taken
  • Platform height women 46” and men 50”
  • Time stops when hands are off the stone and it is over the bar.
  • Stones must loaded from lightest to heaviest.
  • Stones will be placed at the base of the yoke
  • The stone must be loaded in a controlled manner
  • The athlete starts with hands on the crossbar at the start of the event.
  • If time runs out and the athlete has the stone up. If the stone is let go and it goes over the bar the rep Will count.
  • SHIRTS ARE REQUIRED.
  • Equipment Allowed: Belt with a buckle to the back, Tacky. Tack towel, chalk, Knee wraps or sleeves, Forearm sleeves and Grip shirts
  • Equipment NOT Allowed: Belt buckle to the front or an object in the belt to provide a “shelf”. No built-up shoes to provide extra height. Lifting straps or hooks.
