STRONGMAN CORP MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED TO COMPETE.
The following athletes qualify for Amateur Nationals:
- 1st place in a Local competition with 2-4 athletes in a class
- 1st-2nd place at a Local competition with 5-9 athletes in a class
- 1st-3rd place at a Local competition with 10+ athletes in a class
WEIGH-INS WILL BE DAY PRIOR AT EVENT CENTER, AND MORNING OF COMPETITION - TIMES TBD
RULES:
WAGON WHEEL AXLE CLEAN AND PRESS- 60 sec
Athlete will start behind the bar. Upon "Set GO" Athlete will clean and press an axle for as many reps as possible (clean and press every rep). Note that the axle will be on wagon wheels and will be at an elevated clean height, which will include crash pads for some groups (depending on the equipment needed to reach competition weight).
Classes pressing less than 215lbs will be using a 25lb hollow axle with Titan Wagon Wheels, while classes pressing 215lbs or more will use a 75lb solid axle with Rogue 26ers.
Competitors MUST wait for a Down command from the judge for any rep to count. Competitors may choose their pressing method - strict press, push press, push jerk, split jerk, etc are all allowed. Implements may not rest on top of a competitor's head. Belt cleans are allowed. Strongman Corp lockout standards apply - feet must be parallel, hips/knees/elbows must all be locked out, and head must be pushed through. Accommodations for physiological limitations must be discussed with the judge beforehand, and are subject to the judge's discretion.
There will be no split times - your score is the number of reps completed.
Belt buckles/levers must be worn to the side or back to avoid scratching implements.

Max Weight Wagon Wheel Axle Deadlift - 30 seconds per attempt
Rising bar and Athletes MUST TAKE EVERY ATTEMPT!!! ONCE YOU FAIL (at the end of your 30 seconds) YOU ARE OUT. Once the judge gives the Start command, the competitor will have 30 seconds to strap in and complete a deadlift. Ramping and hitching are allowed - sumo is not. Standard Strongman Corp lockout standards apply. Competitors must demonstrate full lockout with their hips and knees locked out, and their shoulders neutral. No lift will count without a DOWN command from the judge.
This will be a rising bar format, with set weight jumps. The women's platform will start at 225lbs, with 20lb weight jumps: 225, 245, 265, 285, 305, 325, 345, 365, 385, 405, 425, 445, 465, 485, 505, 525, 545, 565, 585, 605.
The men's platform will start at 365lbs, with 50lb weight jumps: 365, 415, 465, 515, 565, 615, 665, 715, 765, 815, 865, 915, 965, 1015
Equipment allowed: Straps, Chalk, Sleeves, Knee Wraps, Belt, Deadlift Suits/Briefs
Equipment not allowed: Tacky, Spray Tack
"Strongmen are Athletes Too" - 75 sec
Athlete will set up behind a Sandbag. On the command "Set Go" Athlete will run bag 50' drop the bag, then proceed to shoulder sandbag twice (ONE TIME TO EACH SHOULDER!!!). The run will count as 1 rep, and each successful sandbag shouldered will be one rep. Athlete will then repeat the process buy running the sandbag back to starting line and shouldering to alternating shoulders again. Athlete will repeat this (run, shoulder, opposite shoulder) as many times as possible in 75 sec. Athletes must wait for down calls on each sandbag to shoulder. This means bag is supported on shoulder with opposite hand outstretched and feet parallel. The score will be reps completed - no distances will be measured.

CERBERUS SANDBAG TOSS SERIES - 60 sec
Upon the the command "Set Go" Athlete will run ~10' to a series of throw bags and, starting with the lightest, throw them over a bar (13' foot bar for woman and 15' foot bar for men.) Upon each successful throw, the athlete should immediately transition and attempt the next sandbag. Missed throws must be retrieved by the athlete. In the case of an athlete unable to successfully complete all attempts; split-times will be given upon the bag hitting the ground. If all bags have been successfully thrown, the athlete will be credited for the time of completion.

HERCULES HOLD - Max Time
Athletes will take their grip on the handles - time begins once the support is released by volunteers. Max time wins. If athlete's grip fails within 3 seconds of start due to a technical error by volunteers, one restart will be allowed at the judge's discretion.
