Lift for Autism 2025

$85

Toms River, NJ

*US Strongman, Inc. Nationals 2025 Qualifier*

Lift for Autism 2025 is a FUNDRAISER event so the weights are on the "lighter" end. This is a great show to get experience in or if you just wish to come out, have fun and give back to the community.

We have partnered with the YMCA of Ocean County who work directly with youth and adults in this community. 100% of the profits will be going to their programs for individuals with disabilities (contributing to youth development, education and leadership, water safety, swimming, health/wellbeing and sports/fitness activities).

Location: YMCA of Ocean County

1088 Whitty Rd

Kratos Bar Tire Deadlift

  • Athlete will have 60s to deadlift the bar with tires attached for as many reps as they can.
  • Athlete can strap in prior to beginning the lift
  • The judge will give a down command once the athlete stands fully upright with knees locked, hips through and shoulders back. There will also be an up command.

  • Once both feet of the front of the frame pass the second 50' line, time will be called
  • This event is scored via distance and time. Two drops are allowed.
  • Allowed:  chalk, wrist wraps, elbow sleeves, belts, knee sleeves
  • Not allowed: tacky, liquid chalk, straps

Sandbag Pool Event

*This will be the final event for everyone so you can change after and aren't wet for subsequent events.

  • This event will occur in the shallow  end of an olympic sized pool.
  • Athlete will have 90s to swim to three sandbags of varying weights that are in the shallow end and place them on a marker on the ledge of the pool. They then need to swim back to the starting point.
  • Athlete may wear a swim suit or t shirt with shorts. Whatever makes you comfortable as long as it's not a string bikini or inappropriately sized speedo (this is a community event with children folks).
  • This event is scored via reps (each sandbag is one rep) and time (once you tap the starting point)
  • Allowed: see above comments about clothing, earplugs, goggles
  • Not allowed: speedos, bikinis that are not secured, shoes, shouldering sandbag, throwing sandbag, dragging it up the side of the pool and over the edge
