MELEE OF MIGHT III - PATRIOT GAMES

*NOTE: There MUST be at least three (3) athletes in a division.  In the event that there are less, that division will be combined with another division.

***Anyone who registers after 8/29/21 will not be guaranteed a t-shirt. 

This will be a United States Strongman sanctioned competition.

Must have Current 2021 USS Membership in order to compete. 

All 1st - 3rd place competitors in each open & masters class/division qualify for USS Nationals 2022
 

EVENT DETAILS & RULES

• DEADLIFT MEDLEY
  • Medley will be standard height  barbell x1, 18" axle x 1, and UTV/car deadlift for reps within time limit
  • Competitor will have 60 seconds to complete event
  • Competitor will have 30 seconds to get strapped in, ammonia sniff, etc
  • Competitor must wait for “DOWN” command for rep to count  before moving to next implement in medley (Hips & knees locked out)
  • Equipment allowed: lifting straps, hard belt, soft belt, chalk, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, wrist wraps
  • Equipment NOT allowed: tacky/grip spray, deadlift suits/squat suits.
• FARMER'S CARRY FOR DISTANCE/TIME
  • Pick from ground
  • Course=100 ft with turn at 50 ft
  • Competitor must go around cone at the 50 ft mark
  • No drops allowed
  • Measurement will be taken from front of implement
  • Equipment allowed: soft belt, hard belt, chalk, wrist wraps, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, grip shirts, gloves
  • Equipment NOT allowed: tacky, grip spray, gloves
• CIRCUS DUMBBELL FOR REPS
  • 60 seconds from judges command to complete lift
  • Competitor must clean and press each rep
  • Elbow must be locked out/feet parallel and in control in order to receive good lift from judge
  • Equipment allowed: soft belt, hard belt, chalk, wrist wraps, knee sleeves, elbow sleeves, grip shirts
  • Equipment NOT allowed: tacky, grip spray
• SANDBAG THROW
  • Competitor will throw three sandbags of same weight over bar of pre-determined height for time.
