STRONGMAN vs POWERLIFTING

                           Weigh In starts at 0800

        Rules at 1000

                           1100 GO TIME!!!!

                           Warm-Ups open from 0800 on 

Location:Broward Barbell Center                   1400 NW 65th Ave unit d, Plantation, FL 33323

Entry Fee: $60.00 (This is a non-sanctioned event. No membership. No sanctioning fee.)

Includes T-Shirt for the athlete. All proceeds go to support the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Extra T-Shirts are $30.00.

All scoring will be done by Wilks therefore all Mens competitors will be competing against one another and all Womens competitors will be competing against one another. 

Weigh-ins are day of event before rules. 

Events:

This is a push/pull event on both disciplines. 

Entry fee covers participation in both disciplines, but participation in both is not required. 

Powerlifting

The Powerlifting portion will be bench press and deadlift.

Bench Press - Standard USPA rules apply. No singlet required, elbow sleeves and wrist wraps allowed for bench. Opening weights given at weigh in. Next attempt must be called immediately after completion of previous attempt. 

Deadlift - Standard USPA rules apply. No singlet required, Deadlift will be on a Texas Deadlift Bar. No suits or straps. Chalk/belt/wrist wraps only. If you want to be an idiot and wear knee sleeves to pull, go for it.Opening weights given at weigh in. Next attempt must be called immediately after completion of previous attempt. 

Strongman

The Strongman portion will be as follows:

-Wagon Wheel (13”) deadlift. Wessell’s Rules. Straps, belt, chalk allowed. No suits. “If Jerry Pritchett aint using a suit, neither am I”-Alan Colley circa 2021 A.D. Opening weights given at weigh in. Next attempt must be called immediately after completion of previous attempt.

-Max Log Clean & Press. Wessell’s Rules. Men will use a 12” log, women will use a 10” log. Log will start on the floor and must be cleaned. Opening weights given at weigh in. Next attempt must be called immediately after completion of previous attempt.

Prizes given for best Wilks male/female powerlifter, highest male/female strongman Wilks, and best male/female super total (combination of all four lifts).
