A. Double Dumbbell Press Ladder.
- Athletes will clean and press four pairs of hex dumbbells, lightest to heaviest. Upon cleaning the heaviest set, the athlete can press away for more reps. The athlete with the most reps wins. The athlete must get a down call from the judges to get credit for a rep. In order to get a down call the athlete must be completely locked out and demonstrate control. We will have gymnastics mats to throw the dumbbells onto. Do not launch the weights at my volunteers.
- All gear is allowed except for straps or anything sticky. The only grip shirts allowed are Kryptonian Lift grip shirts, which are included in your registration.-

B. Max Trap Bar Deadlift
* Every athlete will have 5 attempts so I would recommend using your first two as a continuation of your warmups before you get into your heavier attempts. There is a 30 second time limit per attempt to complete a rep once given the start command.
*Competitors will be lined up in their lane in reverse order of overall standings. Athletes will remain in that order for every round. Classes will stay in their own lanes, but may be combined when only a few competitors remain. Women will have 20 lb jumps, men will alternate between 40 OR 50 lb jumps. We will have a rising bar format. Athletes do not have to complete every weight jump. If you miss, you’re out.
* We will request athlete’s openers at weigh-ins and adjust the lane starting weights accordingly. You won’t get to call your exact opener but this gives us an idea of what weights the lanes will begin with.
* Athletes are allowed to strap in before the time starts.
* Athletes must have knees, hips, and shoulders locked out before the head judge is allowed to give them the down command. The competitor MUST wait for the down command or a no rep will be given. The trap bar cannot be held in such a way that it shortens the range of motion. The bars and handles should stay roughly parallel to the ground. The bar must stay in contact with the hands, not hang down to your fingertips with figure 8 straps.
* Allowed: Belts, chalk, sleeves, wraps, straps, figure 8’s, barefoot.
* Not Allowed: Suits, dropping from the top, anything sticky.
C. Torque Tank Push to Sandbag Load Medley.
- Each athlete will push a Torque Tank (sled) completely across the 30 ft line.
- The athlete will then run back to the start line and pick, carry, and load the sandbag into their Torque Tank. The bag cannot be dragged, flipped, pushed, or rolled, it must be carried.
- The athlete will then push the Tank 30 feet back completely across the starting line. The fastest athlete wins.
- If the bag falls out of the tank the athlete must stop immediately, reload the bag into the tank, then complete the course.
- All four wheels are required to stay on the ground. If an athlete is lifting one side off of the ground they will receive a warning. A second offense will result in a 2 second penalty.
- Tanks may need additional base weight upon further testing.
- All gear is allowed except for straps, suits or anything sticky. The only grip shirts allowed are Kryptonian Lift grip shirts, which are included in your registration.
