Grab your kilts and get ready for the Celtic Strongman event you wait for every year!!! This is held at the Sherman Celtic Festival where they have highland games, music, vendors, historical reenactments, food, drinks, and more! 

The Stone weights are not listed yet because we don't have them yet.  We will have them by mid December.  The Press will be setup like the husafell as a trump stone event.  The max stone to shoulder will be the same stones, the dead-sled will use the stones as weights, as well as the wheel of pain.  So, weights will be posted mid December when we get the stones in.

We will be testing out virtual weigh ins this year.  It must be in one take.  You must prove the scale is correct by weighing a plate, then filming someone else's phone to prove the date, and then stepping on the scale with your entire body in view.  More details and a video coming to explain.

Qualifying for Nationals: 

• If there is 1 athlete in a class, they will get combined with another class or just get a regionals bid.

If there are 2-5 athletes in a class:

• 1st place - Qualifies for Nationals (2025) and Regionals (2025)
• 2nd - Qualifies for Regionals (2025)
• 3rd - Qualifies for Regionals (2025)

If there are 6+ athletes in a class:

• 1st - qualifies for Nationals (2025) and Regionals (2025)
• 2nd - qualifies for Nationals (2025) and Regionals (2025)
• 3rd - qualifies for Regionals (2025)
• 4th - qualifies for Regionals (2025)

EVENTS (Not in any particular order)

Stix & Stone Replica Husafell Carry

• This event is what got us started here at the Sherman Celtic festival as a stand-alone challenge in 2021. Since then, the Stix & Stone replica Husafell's have been in every competition we've had at the Celtic Festival.
• You will get your chance at putting your name in the official record book for those that get successful lifts and/or carry's with the proper weight for their weight class.
• There will be 5 replicas ranging from 100/150/210/310/409 and you will choose your stone and carry it as far as possible.
• This is a trump stone event.  Meaning if I pick up and carry the 210 for 100 feet and then you come and pick up the 310 for 1 foot, you would win since you picked up the heavier stone.
• You will have 60 seconds to pick-up and carry the stone as far as possible.
• No drops allowed (you Do get 3 attempts with the pick, but your time starts on the judges "GO" command)
• No Tacky or Tacky Towels, only chalk
• Belt Buckles must be turned to side or back

Dead-Sled Row

If you saw the Fourth Annual American Heroes Classic and the Ukrainian Dead Sled, then you will have an idea of what this is.  You will have a handle that has a rope running through a one way fall arrestor on the handle, a sled at the other end of the rope, and you will sit on the ground with your feet against the front of a wooden stop (like you would for a seated arm over arm pull), and you will ROW the sled up a slight grade for a set distance.  We will try to get a video out soon.  Be sure to follow USA Strength on FB and IG as this is where we will be posting things.

Natural Stone Press

You will get to choose from any of the stones and press it overhead for as many reps as possible.  Choose wisely because if someone picks a heavier stone, you lose (doesn't matter how many reps you did).

Max Natural Stone to Shoulder

You will get 3 attempts to shoulder the heaviest stone you can muster.

Wheel of Pain

Push a pole void of momentum as far as possible for 1 min.
