Strongest at the Farm

The Ohio Valley Strongman Club is proud to present Strongest at the Farm 2023, at the Meigs County Fair. This contest will be open to athletes of all experience and skill levels from Teen, Novice, Open Division, Masters, Masters 50+ for both Men and Women. I will also be updating soon with a list of hotel and accommodation options for our out of town athletes. Athletes will have free admission to the Fair with their entry fee, any and all spectators and support personnel must purchase a day pass to the Meigs County Fair in order to attend.
Event One: Wagon Wheel plate axle Clean and Press Away
Athletes will have 60 seconds to clean and press away for as many reps as possible, most repetitions completed wins. Athletes may re-clean the weight as many times as necessary, must wait for down command before proceeding to next press. Any style of pressing accepted, absolutely no grip aids of any kind other than gym chalk.
Event Two: Frame Deadlift for Reps
Athletes will have 45 seconds to lift their frame to a fully locked out position as many times as possible, most repetitions completed wins. Must wait for down command before attempting next lift. No grip aids of any kind other than gym chalk.
Event Three: Heavy Tire Flip
Athletes will have 60 seconds to flip their respective tire 60' down the course. Time ends when leading edge of tire crosses the finish line, fastest time wins. Measurements will be taken for athletes who fail to reach the finish line. No grip aids of any kind other then gym chalk.
Event Four: Keg over High Bar Series
Athletes will have 30 seconds to toss their 3 short kegs over the high bar, starting from lightest to heaviest. Split times will be taken for athletes who fail to complete their 3 kegs over the bar, fastest time wins. No grip aids of any kind other than gym chalk.
Event Five: The Barnyard Loading Race
Athletes will have a maximum of 75 seconds to load 3 heavy objects (keg, sandbag, mystery item) onto a farm wagon with hay bales already loaded onto it. Athlete will then proceed to drag (backward) the wagon down a 50' course. Once across the finish line, athletes will then load those 3 same items onto a flatbed truck or a loading platform. Fastest time wins, objects completed will be counted for athletes who fail to complete the entire medley. As always, no grip aids of any kind other than standard gym chalk.
For this event, any and all standard supportive equipment is allowed (belts, knee, elbow sleeves, support briefs, wraps, etc.) What is not allowed? Grip aids of any kind other than gym chalk, deadlift suits.
It will be hot this day, please remember to bring your pop-up canopies for shade. Athletes will be able to set up their resting spaces on the infield of the track. Competition area will be taped off, spectators and supporters are welcome to come down to the track to encourage their athletes, but please respect the barriers. Concessions will be abundantly available (It's the County Fair..).
