WORLD OLD SCHOOL STRONGMAN DEBUTS IN FLORIDA!

World Old School Strongman is a worldwide competition featuring the Zercher, Log Press, and Deadlift!

Athletes will test their 1RM in each lift to create a 3-Lift Total.

This is a worldwide competition; your lifts will be entered into a worldwide ranking to see where you compete against the entire globe!

Top lifters from across the world will be invited to the World Championships in Germany in the fall of 2025.

For all 3 events: Athlete will have a 30 second time window to complete the lift. If there is a miss or error in any part of the athlete, their attempt remains active until the 30 second time window has elapsed.

NEW RECORD EVENT - THE ZERCHER

This event will mark the debut of the ZERCHER LIFT for USS Florida Records. 

ZERCHER

To successfully complete a zercher lift, athlete must stand up completely extended with a barbell in the crux of their elbows. Hips and knees must be locked out with chest up and shoulders back; like a deadlift but with a barbell in the elbows. The athlete can choose to pick the bar up from the floor in the elbows, OR, deadlift to the knees, "lap" the weight, adjust the bar to the elbows, and squat up from there.
 

LOG

Log must reach a fully locked out position with arms extended, and head through. Athlete can complete the log repetition in any way (press, jerk, viper, etc).

Athlete CANNOT rest log on their head then press up from there.

Free fall dropping the log after a rep will DQ athlete from the competition.

All equipment allowed: belts, grip shirt, wraps, straps, etc.

Athlete MUST wear shoes.

Deadlift

Athlete must finish the lift by standing tall with hips and knees extended, with shoulders back and chest through.

Strongman rules apply: hitching, ramping, etc are all legal.

Bar must be lowered under control after a successful lift, NO DROPPING from the top.
