August 26th The one and only World's Strongest Operator is coming to Fort Worth Texas!!! Watch live at Will Rogers Memorial Center at the Johnnie Jackson Classic!

World's Strongest Operator is the premier Special Operations Forces strongman event in the world. Started in 2021 to honor Combat Controller SSgt Dylan Elchin who was killed in action in Afghanistan November 27, 2018.  Each competitor is hand selected and invited to come compete for the title of World's Strongest Operator and World's Strongest Tactical Athlete!

Athlete weigh in's will be Friday August 25th at 3-5 pm at Will Rogers Memorial Center

Athlete Check in's will be Saturday August 26th at 8 am pre contest at Will Rogers Memorial Center

Event will start with competitor memorial push ups led by TSgt Marcus Purvis at 9 am immediately followed by DEADLIFT FOR DYLAN ! ! !

Trophies and gifts for 1st 2nd 3rd in each weight class

Deadlift for Dylan - the deadlift will be in rising bar last man standing fashion with "meathead" plate quarter ascending jumps. Once the judge gives a "bar is loaded" call, the lifter will have 60 seconds to complete the lift. Once the lift is locked out, the lifter will receive a down call from the judge, and control the weight down to the floor. Straps, hard belt, soft belt, strongman shorts all allowed. No suits. Points will be for max weight. Shoes optional on deadlift only, mandatory on all other events. Lightweight "buy in" starts at 430 lbs, middleweight 470 lbs, heavyweight 520 lbs. You may skip a weight and hold out if you'd like. If you miss, you're out. Deadlift for Dylan records stand at 800 lbs for the operator division by James Tarbutton and 860 lbs in the tactical division by 870 by Carlo Vecchi.

Ammo Can Crucifix - On the judges whistle the lifter will lockout the ammo cans in a crucifix hold. Maintaining weight locked out at elbow and wrist parallel to the ground as long as possible. As soon as ammo cans descend from locked out position the lift is over. Points will be for max time.

Farmer Walk / Chain Yoke - On the judges whistle the lifter will pick up the farmers handles and carry them 50 ft. Then setting the weight down with nose crossing the line, the lifter will pick up and bring the weight back to the start line. Once the nose crosses back over the start line the lifter will run to the chain yoke. Lifting the chain yoke across their back the lifter will take the chain yoke 50 ft down. At the 50 ft turn the lifter will make a 180 degree turn around the 50 ft mark. Once the lifter has cleared the 50 ft mark, the lifter will return back 50 ft to the starting line. No straps. No tacky. Chalk allowed. Hard belt allowed. And soft belt allowed. This medley is 200 ft total.

Sandbag For Distance - On the judges whistle the lifter will pick up, lap, and bear hug the sandbag to chest. The lifter will walk the sandbag as far as possible making turns at 50 ft marks. When the bag drops to the ground the event is done and distance complete. The lifter is allowed to lap and reset, never letting the bag touch the ground to continue the event. Hard and soft belts allowed. Chalk allowed. No tacky. No grip sleeves. Elbow sleeves and compression allowed.
